I'm so horrible at running. I remember I made it a mile, and kept going. My legs never felt so weird. They actually tickled, and felt all tingly. I remember doing the elliptical at my college's gym and having no problem at all. I could ride a bike too, for however long and not have any issues. Running? Nope.avi

Hmm. Yeah, canwll, I just started doing ellipticals for cardio. I can do over an hour on them without suffering like when running. That being stated, I would like to up my running endurance..... having it so weak is embarrassing.

Last night I got super drunk. I threw up about 3 pounds of food. Today I convinced myself I felt better and went to the gym. Worst mistake I have ever made.

God you practically tortured yourself. Swimming is good when you're rough, really good :).

Unfortunately i dont belong to anywhere with a pool. God I miss the ocean. Nothing like being able to jump into the ocean at any time.

Ah, I don't mind working out after drinking so long as I plan it right. I just do a lot of cardio that day before I go out drinking, get some fatty protein in before drinking (i'm sticking to my ***got lacto-vegetarian diet, so this means whole milk especially non-homogenized, cheese, yogurts, peanuts, etc.), and trying not to smoke too much when drinking.

Anyways, a new trainer is at my gym, and it was five sessions for $75, so I signed up. The trainer's specialty is yoga and pilates and the like and is some sort of fit pretty cute hipster hippie... anyways, when I was switching sides on my Zygoatsis tape, this overweight late 30s somethign guy got on the elliptical next to me and we started talking and he was like I'm using that overweight beefy old guy as a trainer 'cuz i wanna get moar huge and I was like I'm using that skinny girl who looks like a stoner and he's like what do you do with her and I'm like mainly stretches and body weight exercises for posture and learning correct form. This made him do troll face.

I don't get this. At all. Yeah, I love seeing an attractive girl show me how flexible she is while wearing short shorts or yoga pants.... but, really, do people not realize how tight they get after lifting? Or am I somehow an aspie in this regard?

Don't they have some sort of rule about alcohol consumption and swimming pools.
That being said, had a few drunken pool parties out in Kos. Chemicals in the eyes aren't fun.

Here's a general enquiry; what protein do you guys take if any?
I've been using pretty standard whey protein, just curious if anyone buys into the pre-work out supplements that most health stores seem to be pushing at the moment.

LoathsomePete 07-13-2012 12:37 PM

I don't really, I try to make sure I've had food at least an hour and a half before I work out, mostly because I tend to do an 45 minutes or an hour on the elliptical and burn around 600 - 750 calories, and if I do that on an empty stomach I feel like shit afterwards. As for after a workout, I have been making whey protein shakes, but I've been thinking of just making my own and have been researching recipes.

Some of these sound really good.
