Correct, but fat as a store of energy is useful in repairing and strengthening muscles when they're damaged after a workout, so someone who eats too much and works out to compensate will end up replacing fat with muscle tissue over time rather than slimming down, is what I'm getting at

6 meals a day is crazy. I smoke weed all day and can't build up an appetite for that. I can probably do 4 or 5 though if one of them is a tasty treat.
6 meals a day is easier than 4 or 5. You have to be eating a certain fixed amount of calories a day to gain weight. I, for example, eat 3150 calories a day. It is a lot easier to eat 3150 calories over 6 meals then it is over 4, because those 4 would be hella big meals. See my point?

I've been learning how eating too much protein puts you at a way higher risk for chronic diseases and cancer so I've been kind-off paranoid about that.
My brother was paranoid about that but I haven't ever seen any research to back it up.

No idea what macronutrients are.
They're protein carbs and fat. May be better to ignore those for now though if you want to keep it simple.

My working out mostly consists of me needing to expel some nervous energy in a healthy way. I do lotsa pull ups maybe like 50 a day(?) It's the only one i really enjoy doing because i like dangling in the air. I can do push ups pretty easily as well, these exercises havent seemed to gain much muscle, maybe toned them?
You will see much better results with free weights. The problem with body weights is you can only increase the volume so you won't build as much muscle, but it will help your muscular endurance if that's your thing.

Do you not have a gym nearby?

You can really eat meals however you want. Sure one way may be a little more efficiant but at the end of the day if Calories in > Calories out you will gain weight.

Simple answer...just eat more or less.

Also @ Sparky wtf man when I smoked all day I would eat twice as much as I do now.

Wait, really? Nicotine is an appetite suppressant. That's really weird.

Edit : Oh, right, weed. Lol.

I wish it wasnt SOOO expensive to eat healthily. I feel way betteer when eating healthy but I have no money. My budget allows me to spend 200 or maybe 250 a month of food. That is NOT even close to being enough to get fresh fruits and **** like that. It really sucks that it works like that. People say yea foods cheap but to eat stuff your body likes is absolutely not. Anyone who dissagree is in lala land.

You could beat it by buying in total bulk but that requires what is essentially a down payment on food.

I honestly don't even eat nearly as much fruits as I should

If you're looking to build muscle, just buy canned tuna and cottage cheese and nuts and stuff. All healthy protein foods to help build muscle, and I think they're cheap

Actually there is (not trying to spread the fear) but google the China Study.

Yeah but i dont wanna buy a membership. I have one one of these guys in my basement

I never use the stringy things, just do pull ups. Do you think pulling the strings (lol) would be good for building muscle?

@Dr.Rez
I dunno man, smoking suppresses my appetite for a long while and then it hits me real hard later on

Idk man that canned tuna is getting more and more expensive. The chicken is a lot less. I buy alot of brown rice that I flavor and cook myself. Mix that with the chicken and you have a good cheap meal.
