I'm not a fan of Vick at all. Not because of his off the field doings but because I'm a Falcons fan and when he was a Falcon he was putting forth little effort. Anyway, he's improved a thousand times over on his passing abilities since he was with the Falcons because he's actually trying now, so I think its unfair in some ways to think of his past when thinking of Vick. Its almost better in some ways to think of this as being his rookie year, haha.

Really? Man, I'm the opposite. I'm a falcons fan too and I love Vick. He definitely didn't work as hard or have the passing ability with Atlanta, but he took them to an NFC championship team without a whole lotta talent. He was pretty much a one man team. I don't wanna discredit Dunn or anything cause I loved Warrick but Vick had a ton on his shoulders in ATL. He was young and immature, but the dude played hard and did more for his team than pretty much anyone. I still root for Mike, I think he's a good guy and has obviously improved a lot, but I don't hold any negative feelings towards him for anything he did with ATL

Ryan hardly ever loses at home. Other than Brady, I'm almost 100% he has the league's best home record. Like I said, what else would you seriously want out of a 3rd year QB? Comes in, starts immediately, 2 playoff appearances in 3 years, 2:1 TD to interception ratio, great at home, etc. He is exactly what every NFL team would want with drafting a QB.

Josh Freeman in the top 10? Because he had one good season where he didn't make the playoffs and played the easiest, cupcake schedule of all-time? He couldn't beat a good team all year. Bucs are an up and coming team but they are 2 years away from being a playoff team and he's a few years away from being a top 10 QB if he even ever gets there. What has he even accomplished? A good season where he beat up on crap football teams.

Fitzpatrick? Lol, that's the biggest joke of all... He's never even had a good season. This was, by far, his best season and he was like 22nd in Qb rating. He has literally never been a good player at all. He couldn't even open the season starting for the Bills, who are a disaster of a franchise. Having him anywhere near the top 20 is borderline crazy.

Here's my top 10. I'm not a huge stat guy, they can be misleading. But I've watched every week of NFL football for the past decade and this is how I would rank the QBs

1) Manning
2) Brady
3) Brees
4) Rivers
5) Rodgers
6) Vick
7) Roethlisberger
8) Ryan
9) Flacco
10) Schaub
11) Eli
12) Cutler
13) Bradford
14) Cassel
15) Freeman
16)Sanchez

There's a lot of guys that could be flip-flopped but basically I view it in tiers. Manning and Brady are a level above everyone. Then Brees, Rivers, and Rodgers are pretty inter-changable. Then like Schaub, Eli, Cutler are all guys who are good but you can't trust them. Then the rest I have listed are guys without a ton of experience but look real solid. Orton is the definition of mediocre, I can't even include him. He's like a Garrard type in my opinion.
Freeman is on spot with Ryan.

Josh Freeman

Matt Ryan

I'm hatin on Fitz, because like I said, he's had 1 decent year. It wasn't even that great of a year, but it's the only thing he has EVER done in the NFL. He's been bad his whole career. The only thing he even did this season was beat 4 terrible teams (Browns, Dolphins, Lions, Bengals). I'll give him credit that he played a lot of good teams closely and the Bills aren't overloaded with talent, but Fitzpatrick just isn't that good. He's not even mediocre.

I like Freeman. I like where the Bucs are headed. But he isn't on the level of Ryan. The Bucs didn't beat any team with a winning record all year (except the Saints the last week, but that has an asterisk cause Brees sat in the 4th quarter). They played the easiest schedule I have ever seen this year. Cmon, he didn't win ONE game against a good team. His numbers were good, and I think he is gonna be a good QB, but I can't put him on Ryan's level. Ryan came in his rookie year and took a bad team to the playoffs. Then beat some good teams this year and took ATL to the #1 seed. Freeman isn't on that level yet, and the Bucs still aren't a playoff team next year when they won't have the easiest schedule of all-time to make them look better than what they are.

I think Rivers should top that list (and because I'm an Eagles fan) Vick.

Roethlisberger shouldn't even be on the list. I would rather have Derek Anderson or Jamarcus Russell play for us than him. He's only glorified because he plays on a team with a fantastic o-line. If I had half an hour to throw to the ONE receiver that i will throw to, yeah, maybe I'd be sweet too.

Whew. New to the group and first thing I do is pull out some football- dont' hate me!

But it is based on this year alone, no? You can't rate the top QB's of the year based on their careers. I think the Falcons had a pretty cakewalk schedule as well, and are they not in the same division as the Bucs? Im like 90% sure they are, which means their schedules are quite similar.

They are same division so they are similar. The only difference in teams was that Atlanta played @ Eagles and at home VS the Packers. Bucs played @ Redskins and at home vs Detroit (which they lost). Pretty big difference those 2 opponents. And the Falcons still went to get the #1 seed and Bucs didn't even make the playoffs.

Everyone has different opinions of "Who are the best QBs," and everyone has different factors that go into their opinion. I personally like a track record. If a guy has a fluke year, I'm not gonna throw him into the same discussion with guys like Brady, Manning, Rivers, etc. Freeman really well this season, but I just don't put him on the level of Matty Ice yet. I'm a sports junkie and I watch enough NFL to know how good certain players are in relation to other guys, so I don't just go by statistics or wins. And for me, Freeman and the Bucs are at least 2 years away from a playoff team.
