wild card round:

jets at colts - Since signing Dominic Rhodes a few weeks back, the Colts have found a little running game. I know Indy is hurt across the board with injuries, but he Jets don't impress me much. I LOVE Rex Ryan, but the Jets offense looks terrible. Their running game hasn't been the same this year without Thomas Jones (most underrated back for the past 5 years) and I don't trust Sanchez at all. I hate Sanchez, he's so pouty all the time. I can NEVER count out Peyton at home.. and with that crowd noise, I feel bad for Sanchez on 3rd and long with Freeney and Mathis coming around the ends gunning for him. I think 24-21 Colts. Vinatieri clutch kicking again.

ravens at chiefs - Wow, I'm SO close to taking the Chiefs because I think they will be really confident at home and I love what they've done this season. But the Ravens have so many veterans, and all it takes is one huge play from Ed Reed or Ray Ray to totally change this game. Ravens defense hasn't been the same this year, but i don't think KC's passing game is good enough to beat them. Cause I know damn well that Baltimore isn't gonna let KC run all over them like they did everyone else this year. I think Baltimore by 10

saints at seahawks - Complete blowout. Saints are gonna win by 24 easily. Seahwaks are terrible.

packers at eagles - Awesome matchup here. I havent been impressed by the Eagles pass defense aside from Samuel. I think the Pack's defense will play fast as always and cause problems for Vick. Vick will be feeling nervous, first playoff game in like 5 years. I can see him making some mistakes and getting rattled. I am saying Pack by 9.

Well like everyone else I underestimated Seattle. No way I thought they would win that game, but they did. Jets-Colts was a close one like I thought but instead if a clutch Vinatieri kick, it was Nick Folk sinking a game-winner. By the way, Jim Caldwell is a complete moron for calling that timeout at the end. His explanation was even more retarded somehow. So I was 2-2 with my picks for wild card weekend, here's my divisonal round picks

Jets @ Pats - I love the Jets style and love Rex Ryan, but Brady and Bilicheck are two geniuses. They've had time to rest and gameplan, and they are gonna take it to the Jets. I'll be rooting for New York to win, but the Pats are too well coached and won't have as much trouble on offense as the Jets will (still dont trust Sanchez).

Ravens @ Steelers - Pure slugfest and smashmouth here. Pittsburgh's at home, it's gonna be a close one I am sure. And I trust Big Ben, at home, late in the game to lead a game winning drive for a TD or FG. I'm goin with Pitt.

Seahwaks @ Bears - I COULD see Seattle winning this game cause Cutler is always on the brink of implosion. Plus he's a douche so I root against him so I do hope Seattle finds a way to win... But playing at Soldier Field, against that defense, I just don't see it happening. A few big plays from Chicago and the danger of Hester returning spells the end to Seattle's short-lived miracle playoff run.

Packers @ Falcons - Gotta go with my team here. Toss-up game, anything could happen. Atlanta's secondary is weak, but they've bene getting pressure with a 4 man rush at home all season and I think the crowd noise is only gonna help guys like Abraham getting into the backfield and causing hell. I don't think anyone but the Steelers can stop Atlanta's run game right now. Atlanta is gonna run, run, playaction. Can't wait for this game, gonna be rockin the Matty Ice jersey and the Falcons beanie for this one. If it comes down to the final few minutes I expect Matty Ice to get the job done like he's done all season long.

Yeah we definatley all missed seeing the Seahawks pull off a win against the Aints. Like I stated before everyone but Keyshawn Johnson..(ESPN..The Blitz.) At any rate if they had one team they pull off another upset against it would be the Bears. Their just to inconsistant at times on offense. Still but I cant see Hasselbeck having any kind of luck against Urlacker,Peppers, and crew. I think Lovie Smith will try to establish that running game with Forte and keep the ball out of Cutlers hands as much as possible. With Hestner at the helm on special teams aquiring that valuable field position. I see the Bears making it out of this one alive.
The Jets at Pats ...Like the pre game segment on Monday night kickoff says..."Come On Man" Bill and Brady could shock me and not pull this one off but its highly unlikely. The Jets only chance is to take advantage of the Pats inexperienced deffense. Try to match scores with Brady(good luck) Just dont think ol Sanchy's got it in him to do so come crunch time. Look for Welker to have a big day as I see Rex concentrating on keeping the big play from Brady. So with Reevis Island and Chromartie defending the edge's. I think Welker will find the creases and hit those seams. Exposing those soft spots and allowing Brady to do what he does best. Pick you apart. Combined with the running efforts Ben Jarvis Green Ellis has been giving. I think is to powerful of combo for Rex's Jets to overcome.
The Ravens at the Steelers I picked the Steelers very early in the season to win it all this year. (thinking it was a rebuilding year for the Pats) Im still gonna ride out that prediction just for the sake of not jumping from team to team. Regaurdless of who's hot and who's not. The last time these two teams met I did pick the Ravens in that particular battle. Barring a Joe Retardo throw on second down and only a few minutes to play. Which invited a Troy Polamolu sack for a fumble and score if im correct. My pick would have stood. As fate would have though that day it did not. However playing at home should give them the edge they need this week. The playoff intensity is a atmosphere both these teams know and are comfortable playing in. However with it being a quarterback driven league the upper hand has to go to the one with the rings. Big Ben should have a pretty big day using his legendary pump fakes to expose that at times sub par secondary.(with the exception of Ed Reed) This heavyweight physical game usually comes down to a field goal deciding the outcome. Im sure somehow the Steeler deffense will somehow come up with a play to swing the momentum their way. Then give the Ravens a taste of that old fashion run it up the gut 4 minute drill to kill the clock.
Which leaves Packers at Falcons An NFC shootout for advancing on to the championship stage. Given Vick and the Eagles are out of the hunt... im gonna be pulling for the Falcons. (thanks in part to Dirty) But also due to the fact of it being the Cinderella aspect of things to. The Falcons have been due for a shot at the ring for some time now, and finally have put themselves in great position for it. With all the weapons they have on offense and Matty Ice only losing two games I think at home. The Georgiadome makes that 12th man element all to real for opponents. The only issue I see them having is the scheme drawn up to stop a Packers run as well as Rogers attack. With a Starks shocker last week against Andy Reids Eagles. If this is capable again in this matchup. Things could get very interesting down the stretch. Never the less I see the Falcons being the only birds to Fly on to Jerry's place for the big game. Good luck

The infamous spygate celebration that brought on a hefty fine. One of the funniest celebrations yet.

The Falcons really let me down tonight. I know they are much better than they played tonight which makes it extremely disappointing for them to lose in the fashion they did. Oh well, the Falcons have always been known for their bad luck in the post season. The one year they went to the super bowl and then choked so badly in the big game. Oh well, one day we're going to get over that big problem and bring Arthur Blank something to show for all the money and time he's spent on the Falcons. Not to mention Mike Smith has been a great coach since arriving here three years ago. Also, I think Matt Ryan's still got a huge amount of potential left in him. I'm hoping that over this off season the Falcons can work on getting a little bit better on throwing the deep balls. If this happens we're going to be set up I think. Because honestly I felt like offensively that's the one place we really struggled. On defense I'm hoping we can work really hard to better everything. Its important to have a strong defense in the NFL, and truthfully its as important as having a good offense. If you have watched any Falcons games this year you know that's been our one extremely inconsistent area. Ah well, I thought we had a lot of potential on defense coming into this game because I felt that even though we lost to the New Orleans Saints at the end of the season that we played defense really solidly against them. Obviously that's much different than playing defense against the Packers but hey, its all good. We got out played, we lost, it sucks but we will move on and I'm still going to be a fan of my team in the morning when I wake up. Not to mention, there's always next year. I want to wish the Packers and the remaining teams in the playoffs the best of luck in for the rest of the playoffs, should be interesting.
