hahah. I don't really like the NFL, I'm more into college football. The NFL isn't as interesting because it's like the best of the best to an extent. I would have picked Saints over 49ers, however.

I like both college and NFL, although I prefer the NFL just a little bit more. I can see how people in Alabama prefer college, especially since there's no NFL team close. You guys have had some good football to watch over the last few years. Possibly another championship coming your way this season.

kind of off topic but...

most people i have met around here prefer college bball to pros. half of their reasoning is that the pacers suck, the other seems to be thinly veiled racism.

Oh, gracious I sure hope so! I'm a huge Alabama fan, and that would put me over the moon. haha. I have to watch every game. Football isn't just a sport down here. (:

They are extremely lucky!

The muffed punt by Phillip Adams close to our red zone, how the hell does that not bounce over the sideline? Or the second interception, some no name linebacker magically becomes an athletic freak and tips a ball right into the hands of Tracy Porter? Or the botched snap on the opening drive for a safety?!

Our defense can usually create a lot of turnovers (we had 7 on MNF against the Cardinals in 2009) but not a single one last night. On top of that, Reggie Bush muffs a punt and the ball lands right under his feet? God damn really?

Five turnovers and we still only lose by a field goal thanks to the prevent defense. I just hope we can beat down the "resurgent" Chiefs next Sunday.

Yes, college basketball is HUGE in Indiana, I can vouch for that. My whole family are huge Purdue fans. The Pacers do suck, but I don't see how racism (thinly veiled or not) plays into anything...

I know, some of my family live down there (Auburn fans) and they are ****ing psycho about it. My aunts 2nd husband had a heart attack while watching a game...

I have a feeling Bama will repeat, I don't think anyone out there can fuck with their running game or their defense.

it doesn't play into anything really. just the people i have talked to about the topic lately were offensive to me. i'd love for the pacers to start doing better, but i don't see the talent. i mean, granger is a great player and really underrated nationally. but after him and collison, there is a huge dropoff in talent. i guess we will see if paul george is any good soon enough(but he plays the same position as granger...) i have no idea what bird is doing.
