I don't know enough about the situation to really have an opinion on it, but I absolutely cannot stand the guy. He comes across like such a phony. I really like the 49ers, but I'd cheer for just about any team over the Ravens just because of Lewis.

Same, I honestly dont know enough about the case to have an opinion. Even then you still dont ever really know what happened cause you werent there. As far as liking Ray Lewis, I dont have a problem with the guy. I think he plays with just as much passion as anyone in the league. He's very involved in his community in charity work and helping give back and does a lot of events thats he doesn't have too. Also I think he's a leader on the field and very well respected by most everyone around the league, and has more than earned his place in the HOF. One of and if not arguably the best to have ever played his position and played for a long time. But I'm not one that lets scandals, rumors, or attitude heavily influence my opinion on an athlete. Cause imo it doesnt have anything to do with how good an athlete is. Yes I know the rebuttle to this statement of they are peoples role models and all that and I've heard it many times. To many times we are judge and jury on purely here say and convinced that we know beyond the shadow of a doubt what really happened in a lot of these cases. Then let that pursuade our better judgment of whether or not you decide to like said athlete. I for one dont let accusations or here say influence my opinion because my opinion is based off of what they can do on the field, or what they did on the field in their careers. I think more people should try an do the same.

Ouch.
Honestly, I hope he becomes starting QB for another team next year. He's a solid player, and judging by interviews I've read he's a very kind and modest person. Strategically, I think SF made the right call, but boy do I feel sorry for Alex Smith. =\ Also: http://www.theonion.com/articles/nat...baugh-l,31050/
