Michael Phelps just tied the record for most gold medals in a single Olympics and reset the record as the world's winningest olympian.
His last race came down to a hundredth of a second's difference, and the last few strokes were spectacular.

The athletic competitions have started! Weee! That's the most exciting even of the Olympics for me (plus, there's lots of georgeus men to look at )
Anywho, congrats to Phelps, absolutely fantastic. I'd also like to note that I always kinda root for the chinese because I have a feeling they're gonna be expelled from the Party if the fail leaving their poor families with no money or food or something...:|

Holy crap, did anyone else see the 100 meters? Bolt absolutely destroyed. New world record despite the fact that he started celebrating 20 meters before the finish line!!

For a change the British are doing really well at the Olympics. Third in the medal table. Congrats to Phelps too. Top athlete.
