I think tonight is the first time since about the 2002 World Cup when I have actually been excited about an England game.

I don't care if Capello wins a trophy or not , as long as he makes that shower of shit that calls itself an England football team realise they're supposed to be professionals and act like them.

It would also be nice if he could bring in some new faces with a bit of pace so we don't have to play our usual 'hoof the ball up to Crouch/Rooney/Owen when they have nobody within 30 feet of them to pass to' game.

Also John Terry should be stripped of the captaincy permanently. What kind of England captain goes around urinating on a nightclub floor while drunk. Bobby Moore would turn in his grave.

Well said.
I heard he's about to upset a few big names and give the whole England set up a good shake.
He should bin the older players and build the team up with younger blood.

And I may as well say it now...this thread is gonna end up in heartbreak.

That was pretty decent.

Bentley came out of it very well. I've been saying for about the past 2 years he should have be getting into the England team regually.

Joe Cole had been our best player for about the past year & continued that today.

Rooney seems back to his best watching him tonight was as exciting as watching him when he first got into the England team.

That was also the best performance i've seen Gerrard have in an England shirt in years.

Just a start but things are looking promising.
