CroCop has parted ways with the UFC. He is now fighting for DREAM (formerly DreamStage, aka the former owners of PRIDE). DREAM is owned by K-1, and will replace HERO's as K-1's MMA division.
DREAM is said to be on good terms with M-1 Global, who owns the contract of Emelianenko Fedor, the world'd top ranked HW. This could possibly open the door for the long awaited Fedor/CroCop II fight that we've all been waiting for since they met in '05. |

I've got my money on Herring over Kongo. Kongo has kickboxing on his side, thats about it. Herring is a more well-rounded fighter and has loads more experience. Fitch is nothing special IMHO. He has bet some OK competition in Burkman and got lucky over Sanches, until he beats a real welterweight like Fickett or Koscheck, Im not buying into the hype. |

Anderson "the spider" Silva
I've been watching Silva since his PrideFC days where he was a very good fighter, but the guy has developed into a nearly unbeatable killer! I really thought Dan Henderson would beat him, given the stylistic matchup..but wow..the guy is a striking machine with slick submissions and cardio that doesn't quit..and such a humble guy too! Any ideas about who can beat him at 185? Filho trains with him so that's a moot point..Lindland I could see giving him trouble but I always thought Hendo was superior to Lindland in every way..He may just retire undefeated..

Moved to the right thread.
I think Henderson was his worst match hes faced yet, and I cant think of one fighter who would give him a better go. I dont see Silva being beaten for a long time.

I think Melvin Manhoef could give Anderson Silva a battle in the stand-up but will be in trouble against silva's ground game...Jacare's ground game could prove a serious threat to Silva IF he could take the fight there

Silva is a highly intelligent fighter and as much as he'd like to kick and knee through people's heads. He trains like a maniac and knows exactly how to expose fighters weaknesses.

another fight I'm really looking forward to is Frank Shamrock vs. Cung Le...Le has done an awesome job of adapting San Shou to MMA...he pulls of some beautiful techniques...I hope he KO's Shamrock, but Shammy's experience and well-roundedness may prove too much for Le...thoughts?
