Lebron Vs. D-Wade

Who's better? Why?

Miltamec Soundsquinaez 01-27-2008 04:35 PM

Lebron is better by leaps and bounds. D-Wade was awesome when he won the title 2 years ago. Since then, he has been terrible. Even if his numbers are good, he plays in spurts, and doesn't get his teammates going. He needs to take a more vocal role, since he can't lead by example with that injury.
Lebron is quite possibly the most gifted athlete ever. On top of that he's got a ton of maturity. He's humble, he passes first. I don't know anything bad I can say about him. Plus, he basically never calls out his teammates, even though they let him down sometimes. For the most part though, they play well, and I just think Lebron has a lot of respect for the game, so he's not going to complain all the time just because he loves what he's doing.
So, in summary, Lebron is a 995/1000 D.Wade is 875/1000.

LeBron

but Wade is a mesmerising player

no one can touch LeBron ever

I'm sorry but that's ****ing ridiculous. Ever watched Lebron play D? He on and off the whole game. And how can you say Wade doesn't get his teammates going? He's consistently in the top 10 in assists despite the fact that his team doesn't have any athletic big men and lost the only sharpshooter he's ever played with. And he's injured this year. And he plays world class D, unlike Lebron. Overall, Lebron's srength makes him a better offensive player, but on D he lacks the intensity of Wade, Bryant and Bowen.

British_pharaoh 01-27-2008 04:47 PM

Lebron schooled Kobe today at Kobe's house

41 of ur best points with 9 boards 2 thefts and 4 dimes on 16-30 shooting
mwah!!

good offense trumps good defense my boy

ask the Suns the only reason it wasnt Phoenix smoking us in the finals last year instead of the Spurs was because of the NBA and its BS suspensions

ProggyMan 01-27-2008 04:50 PM

The Suns play good defense, it's their style of play. Lebron doesn't play good defense. Anyway, that's like saying you'd take good offense and bad D over good offense and good D.

Miltamec Soundsquinaez 01-27-2008 04:52 PM

OK, let me just use their records as the foundation of my argument

ProggyMan 01-27-2008 04:55 PM

Because it's Wade's fault that he plays on a bad team? And don't tell me he should be able to carry them, because there's a ridiculous lack of talent on the team.

LeBron was palying on a bad team the first 2 years of his pro career
any team that has Tony Battie as their threat off the bench with Darius Miles and eric williams as starters is abysmal

but just with the addition of Lebron alone made them respectable

ProggyMan 01-27-2008 05:25 PM

It's funny how it was the same with the Heat.

Nosmada 01-27-2008 09:28 PM

I vote for LeBron , Both are great players with out a doubt, but James just has the factor. Cleveland is never out of a game while he is in.

ProggyMan 01-27-2008 09:50 PM

I could say the same about Wade.

Nosmada 01-27-2008 10:00 PM

No i don't think you could , its a kind of swagger that athletes have where if needed they can throw the team on their back and pull out a tough win, and i am not saying D-Wade cant win a game. Like a couple weeks ago Cleveland was in Toronto, They were losing, some fan trash talks James, pretty much face to face (Some say she was a Bosh Relative) James goes ahead and scores 20+ in the forth to win a close game.

ProggyMan 01-27-2008 10:06 PM

And Wade can do that.

I think Wade's one of the 5 most exciting players in the league, along with Lebron, AI, Kobe, and TMac, but I think he's bought into his own hype a little too much, and he's not as hungry as he used to be. I don't even think his supporting cast is that bad-Jason Williams, Udonis Haslem, and Shaq(grant it aging).

Baseless arguements deserve baseless arguements. Anyway, how the hell has Wade's influence faded? Can you imagine the team without him? There's not a single player who is not way past their prime, or just plain bad with the exception of Udonis Haslem.

The Heat without Wade, I guess they might have about 6-7 wins, instead of 8. I think you might be a little biased because you're from Florida. I actually said I like Wade, and yet there's no way anyone can argue that Wade's better than Lebron. I would direct your argument towards stating what Wade might do in the future to help rebuild his team, and how he could restore his legacy as one of the best young players the league has ever seen. I.E., come back from the injury, or become more vocal. He needs to get mad at his teammates, like he'll make a hard drive to the basket, and pass it to a guy right underneath the basket, and then the big will kick it back out. He's got to get in the guy's face, and say 'shoot the d.amn ball'

Lol @ the person who came into this thread just to vote 'Who the hell cares?'

ProggyMan 01-28-2008 11:29 AM

It 's **** not hell. lol. anyway, I doubt they'd have 3 wins. Look at how Wade's performed in crunchtime this year, and look how much difference it's made. The lack of team defense and incredibly poor shooting's made sure he'd have to score 40 a night to make a difference. And I'm from Cali, not Florida. My point in all this is if they had Michael Jordan instead of Wade they'd still only have 9, maybe 10 wins.

I believe if they had Lebron instead of Wade, they would have 15 or more wins, but Wade has been injured, so....

ProggyMan 01-28-2008 11:40 AM

If Wade hadn't been injured? It's amazing what he's been able to do with a nagging injury and the second worst supporting cast in basketball.

NoseClams 03-12-2008 01:05 PM

labron is the better athlete and i think he has proven that. D-Wade is certainly falling out of his prime. I think that labron is the best player in the nba right now. I can honestly say that i am not a labron fan in anyway but I am a fan of his skill.

ProggyMan 03-17-2008 12:37 PM

That post made me lol.

pheurton 03-17-2008 12:59 PM

well both are black
hence both get bonus points
for having the correct genes
considered mandatory to play the sport
but wade is darker toned thus
the better player

NoseClams 03-18-2008 10:45 PM

labron makes half court shots look like free throws.

Laces Out Dan! 03-19-2008 11:49 AM

Yea, and Half Court shots are such a vital part of fundamental basketball.

pheurton 03-19-2008 04:04 PM

yeah like I said it's tone what makes a virtuoso

ProggyMan 03-20-2008 08:18 PM
