That's true. It takes good *coaching*, just like in sports. |

Serena's retiring. She has nothing left to prove to anyone, so good on her.
I've seen her live a few times at the Rogers cup. She's more ripped than most of the men! She could dominate whenever she felt like it. She'd turn it on like a switch. Serena and Steffi were the two most physically dominant women I've ever seen on the court. |

Uggh, what a Rogers cup fail. I was there on Friday for the quarter final. Our poor local kid, Felix Auger-Aliassime. He couldn't keep a beach ball in play that day. He looked nervous against Casper Ruud, who is an excellent player. In the first match, Nick Kyrgios played well, coming back from a set down against Hubert Hurcacz. At one point in the third set, he started talking to himself, then stopped playing. I took my nephew with me. He hadn't seen tennis before. The quality of tennis on that day was awful.
I know players have off days, but to see Nick do what he did, it's surprising. I'm not angry, or feeling cheated. Given his talent, it would have been nice to see him put up more of a fight. |
