You're right though that is a little backwards. Though when they had the Final Four a few months ago, when VCU lost they had riots in Richmond (just down the road from me). If I was a Canuck fan, the only thing I should be looting is the Stanley Cup. |

I'll make a prediction though. Boston has won, in the past 10 years, 7 championships in one sports team or another. We had parades everytime and I don't think I've ever seen a crowd like this. Reports coming in now say there was an estimated 1.5 million who came down. For a long time when the Patriots were steamrolling everything in their way, people asked "So are we a football town now, or are we still a baseball town?" After Saturday, I dare say we're a Hockey town. Boston fans will turn just about anything into an "us v. them" style battle. I wouldn't be surprised if you see the profile of Hockey rise a little higher on this side of the border. Sounds like a long road, but these people are rabid for victory whether it be in a professional sport, or some highway road game.
