With BErgeron likely back, Tampa just doesn't have enough to take Boston. They've been unbelievably luck so far, and I expect that luck to run out sooner or later.

Neither Boston or Tampa stand a chance in the Finals anyways.

It was nice to see an absolute stomping last night, due mostly to Eager being a dumb selfish player. I bet big Joe chewed into him something fierce after the game.

ALSO, Welcome back Hockey to Winnipeg. Finally another team up North. I dont understand how Canadians can make up something lioke 57% of the entire NHL, and we only get a few teams. All Canadian markets sell out regardless of how the franchise is doing. We could easilly house a few more of the dead markets up here.

A question I ask myself often. And how about Florida having two teams!? The Lightning only sells 6000 seats a game when they're below .500 which seams to happen 3 out of 4 seasons. And to think about the Panthers even playing .500 hockey is a laugh.

I've always wondered that myself. Some things just don't make a lot of sense.

I don't know what the story with that region dipping into cold weather sports is, but I live in New England. It can get pretty ****ing cold up here, and Hockey is still probably the 4th ranked sport, save for crotchety old men refusing to watch "overplayed athletes" (usually means MLB).

I refer to the old George Carlin gag where he's combining states and says something like Michigan to Montana should be one state and we'll call it "Hockey." If kids don't grow up playing something, its harder for them to get into a sport. Personally I love Hockey and I can't skate for ****, but by and large I think thats the story. Now you've got a bunch of Southerners who, and this is not meant to be offensive toward them, probably didn't contemplate hockey in the 50 degree weather in December.

I spoke to a family member of mine in NC years back who asked about the Temp in Boston. I said it was something like 19 degree and she almost lost her mind. "The banks/schools close here if it goes below freezing."

Yeah, that's the place we should put a hockey team...why not some ski slopes and bobsled tracks while we're at it.

And I wouldn't be so sure about Vancouver beating Boston. Chara will most likely manhandle the Sedins like he did this season. They aren't used to facing overly physical behemoths since Pronger went out east. And add Bergeron to shadow them. Kesler matches up against Krejci's line? Fine, they roll 4 lines anyways.

You think it sucks, but for me it is a total blessing. I live deep south in FL and get to see the Sabres play a few times a year for only $6 for the Panthers, and a little more for Tampa. They never sell out so I end up 3-4 rows off the ice, and there are always more Buffalo fans, so it feels like a home game. There are even more fans from random teams than FL fans. It seems I always have a seat next to a MTL or TOR fan though, which is quite fun when you aren't playing against them.

Before two nights ago, the Sedins havent done hardly a thing. They were minus 6 and minus 4. We've been rolling 4 lines and getting lots of production from all. We already showed that we can beat a defensive team in Nashville. Not to compare boston and nashville though because Boston is clearly the elite of the two. I think it'll be a great stanley cup final regardless.

Yeah it would be a good series.

The perception of the Bruins is that they're a defensive team, when really they play a pretty similar game to Vancouver. Boston and Vancouver were the only two teams in the top 5 for both offense and defense.

Vancouver destroys them on special teams, but no team in hockey can play as well 5 on 5 as the Bruins. It's been their calling card for years now.
