No, the goalie being out of position and in a vulnerable spot screwed the Bruins.

What happens is irrelevant when the key contributor to every goal (even on his assist he set Sedin up for an empty net) should never have been playing in the first place.

That would of been an easy shot for anybody who was near that puck at the time... politics of play aside, it was a great goal anyways.

Thomas lost that one for his team... no clue what he was doing at that moment anyways... basically a give away goal.

Well, not even taking into consideration any of the other goals, there's still the issue of Burrows' speed and tenacity on the forecheck that led to that goal. Like I said, he was the main factor in all three goals when he should have been suspended (2 games based on precedent).

is there video of this bite... I must of missed it. Would like to see the clip before saying what i feel about it...

if it was a case of as you say a finger in the mouth... big deal.. I doubt it was like a Mike Tyson style intentional thing.

Either way, with or without him, Vancouver is going to take out Boston and win this year. I think it will go the way the Sharks series did, Boston might get lucky and get 1 win, but that will be all.

There is clear precedent (actually with the video Thrice posted). Whether it happens in the playoffs or regular season should not matter. If a guy hacks a guy in the face does he get more lenient treatment because it was in the Final?

And it's not like Bergeron jammed his hand down his throat. It looked like a pretty routine facewash and one of his fingers got caught there. And even if his hand was in his mouth, he can't use the free hand to push him away?(which subsequently was used to try to mask his bite if you watch it)? He has to bite like a pre-schooler?

And lastly, if the NHL came out and said something like, "We don't think that Burrows' bite warrants a suspension.", I still would have been pissed off, but not as much as I am now. The NHL blatantly said that they couldn't find evidence of him biting.

Yeah, that video. The NHL could not find anything to support biting in that. So really it isn't so much a question of whether biting warrants a suspension but it's about the NHl completely ignoring the obvious bite. Complete bull****.

I haven't been interested in hockey since the olympics. Been watching this, it has me interested again. I could potentially form a permanent interest in hockey after this.

That hit on Thorton was just insane. Good on them for giving Rome the game miscondust. Looked intentional, just uncalled for.

Of course the hit was unintentional and for sure worthy of a 2 minute minor for interference or charging. And if he gets up and skates to the bench, thats probably what happens. Clean shoulder to chest, just too late.
