The late season collapse of our blue line is nothing new as a canucks fan...hopefully we heal up well before playoffs. Cause this is our year !!!
At the beginning of the year I did a full bracket, hac the Nucks taking the west, but losing to the sabres in the finals.

When Miller plays the way hes capable, The Sabres become a serious contender, especially post season. Myers is an incredible talent as well.

Yeah buddy, put that defense with the Sedins and you have a dynasty.

I'll take my back end over yours still when we're healthy

This year, yes. I don't like the idea of getting rid of solid D men (Toni Lydman/Henrick Tallinder) in exchange for a goal scoring slop (Jordan Leopold). Buffalo leads the league in SHGA because they put out 4 forwards and Leopold. Leo is a turnover king, and even Myers has had at least 2 that cost them the game.

Jesus! Lydman is a +25 right now.

I generally hate talking about the Leafs and haven't been following them, because they suck, but Burke traded Tomas Kaberle to Boston, for a first round pick I think. I was almost certain that guy would finish his career here.

yeaa, at one point Bieksa was leading the league in + - but hes out now. And when he went out, he was sittin at +26...not to one up Lydman or anything haha

EDIT: Apparently Bieksas +26 is still league leading.

You gotta just keep your head up and look at the guys that are putting in the effort to try and get better and make it possible to rebuild. Case and point, Colby Armstrong. Guys a beauty.

You should start paying attention to this team again... if they hold on tonight they are 4 points out of the playoffs. Not sure how often they are paired, but MacArthur-Grabovski-Kulemin is a great young combination. They are young, contribute across the board, and (mostly) are + on a team that has allowed considerably more goals than they've scored this year. Also, Luke Schenn is a beast in the making... been watching him for fantasy hockey purposes, and the kid is flirting with top 10 in the league for both blocked shots and hits. His point totals ought to see a boost now that he's expected to move the puck a little more with Kaberle gone. Your team is not that bad this season, and has youth in all places. Consistency out of Kessel and health out of the netminders and you've got a playoff team this season.

And lets not forget the incredibly bright future that Kadri may possibly have. I think as soon as he sorta grows up and becomes a little more suited for the NHL, he can be a serious force in the top 6.
