I'd hate to be a Leafs fan tonight. We smacked em pretty nice. Came back from a 3-0 deficit to score 5 unanswered. Sedin Burr line was unreal, they scored all 5 goals. Burr had a shorty to start it off.

What the hell has gotten into this dude lately? 15 goals and 22 points in 13 games. Totally unsustainable .366 shooting percentage... but still. Tearing **** up.

I went to last night's Toronto Maple Leafs game (free tickets) and they performed horribly during the second half of the game. 1st period - 3 goals. 2nd - Vancouver gets 1 goal. 3rd - Vancouver ties it (3-3), then in the last 5 minutes or so Vancouver gets 2 more goals. The Leafs always have so much energy in the beginning of the game, then it dissipates. They were tired as usual
Oh, and I'm definitely NOT a Leafs fan. I would have never paid to see them - the ticket prices are way too inflated for a team that loses all the time. They're such an embarrassment to Toronto. I was hoping for a team to come to Hamilton just so they could play the Leafs and beat the hell out of them. That would've been funny! |

Toronto fans are some of the most faithful in the league. AND, in other news...Phaneuf is now a Leaf. As part of a 3 team, 7 player trade.

I'll admit that I exaggerated a little in my previous post! I grew up watching the Leafs and I must say that it's hard to watch them lose all the time. I haven't completely lost my faith in them, but it's hanging by a thread. I'm excited to see what Phaneuf and JS Giguere can bring to this team.

Probably nothing. Phanuef is a primadonna with a penchant for the media spotlight and a lack of steady motivation. He's having one of worst years ever, and he hasn't shown any fire since he got snubbed for the Olympics. He used to be the face of the franchise, now Calgary couldn't be happier without him. Giguere is a washed up B goalie, whose only real contribution will be mentoring the young Jonas Gustavsson.
I'd say that the Kessel deal was one of the worst I've seen in a while, Burke's done an awful job with this team. |
