How about all that great Jazz music that came from Salt Lake City.

Lots of Raptors in Toronto?

Actually the name comes from the league the were originally in the "WHA" they were originally called the New England Whalers and played in Boston and there was some Whaling done at some point in New England right?

If you're posting in the music forums make sure to be thoughtful and expressive, if you're posting in the lounge ask yourself "is this something that adds to the conversation?" It's important to remember that a lot of people use each thread. You're probably not as funny or clever as you think, I know I'm not.

Yes. It was the main source of oil, and jobs in Massachusetts three major ports.

it's not just americans; there's nobody worse for wear than the raging cuntface Don Cherry.

what's disappointing is that we don't have a single hockey network with modestly intelligent analysts or commentators. both NBC and Versus are atrocious, and because cable providers are mentally disadvantaged we can't get TSN.

I hate Don Cherry as well. I miss having Jim Houson as our play by play in Vancouver..but shorthouse is alright. As for TSN...I love Pierre Maguire. One of my favourite analyst.

really? the asshat that's calling for fighting to be banned in the NHL? he's an analyst for NBC as well and i'm not fond of him at all. can't say who's the bigger douche, him or Mike Milbury.

can't stand Mike Emrick at all though, and he's basically the permanent commentator for the third and fourth rounds.

Ahh, hes not totally against fighting. He's just never been a fan of staged fights, he has no problem with fighting out of anger, or to get get at someone or w/e. I just really have always liked him through the world juniors coverage. And there was a time this season where he made these 2 american analysts look like absolute goofs. Anyways...I miss Jim Houson.

True. As you know I dont really dig NE at all, but I really cant stand CT, we have nothing wothwhile aside from the casinos. I always find myself going to RI for anything good (beaches and booze mostly)

Do you mean root for the team or actually whale? I dont meet to many Whalers fans here at all, or even ones that once were, most people in a 5 state radius of Mass jumped on the Boston bandwagon. If you mean actually whale, I have no clue, but I tried to book a whale watching trip last year and it was pretty much impossible to find one in CT, they were all in Mass.
