Oh, for gods sake, remember the last game between these two?

Or even Wellwood at Raymond. Seeing him on the PP with the Sedins is gonna be some Magic as well. All in all, im really excited to see him in a Vancouver Uniform come the new year. The old fucker had better stay healthy though.
it's definately going to be interesting to see if he produces his usual point-a-game antics this season. if it turns out that he doesn't enduce a joe thorton-like effect (when he was traded to san jose and led them to the playoffs from 9th), i'll be betting that a lot of criticism is going to be thrown at the Canucks brass, as well as Sundin himself for basically being a mercenary.

i knew that he was bull****ting when he was all like "i want to win a cup, no matter what", and then he goes to the highest bidder. if he'd really have wanted to win a cup, he would've played for Detroit for 450 thousand.

Yes the Wings were bored and disinterested; they lost to San Jose and Anaheim that week, then people started saying San Jose was better, which is just silly. The Wings have more talent, the cup and crushed the Sharks the last time they played in the playoffs in '07.

As long as we stay healthy this year we have a good chance of going deeper than the previous years into the playoffs. With Sundin, lets see how far.

the canucks are all around a very physical team, especially this year, which make it pretty interesting to watch.

It's good to see the flames back up in their rightful place at the head of the division I was super stoked to see sutter do so well in his first game with the tying goal against the ducks. Bertuzzi was in a wierd funk throughout the game though, couple of blind back passes right to the ducks, few more dropped passes, just not at all at his normal caliber. Near the end of it Iggy seemed to be slowing down quite a bit too, not fighting for the puck like he normally does, but overall the flames played a great game.

You can't expect more from Bertuzzi..he's a goof..I hate him. And yea, Im a fan of sutter so it was nice to see him in such fine form. But in the spirits of the world juniors, lets reflect on one of my favourite plays by his cousin, Brandon Sutter.

Just thought I'd bring this thread back from obscurity to point out that the flames just ended the shark's almost 1 YEAR HOME GAME WINNING STREAK a couple of days ago. Sharks hadnt been beaten at home since Feb. 14 of last year until our boys took them on and beat them 3-2. yeah flames!!

yeah they're on an awesome streak at the moment. They've now totally pulled ahead in the division, and even in the conference they're looking strong. The red wings and the blackhawks seem to be the teams giving us the most trouble, and though the sharks are a really strong team, we've beat the the past two times we've played them, so it's not a stretch so say we'd be able to continue that trend.
