Preds outplay Pens for most of game 1 yet Pens come away with the win. I'm sticking with the Preds, though...

Pens are going to take it.

Second Pens dynasty. Pittsburg is officially a pro sports iconic city with zero doubt.

I feel like that was the most unpredictable playoffs I've ever seen (more so than 2012), even if last year's Cup Champ repeated. I would not have predicted half of those outcomes. Nice change of pace compared to the NBA where you could make a best of 7 NBA Finals between the Warriors and Cavs over the next 4 years.
This offseason should be pretty awesome. So many moving parts with the Expansion Draft. Too bad it's a relatively weak draft class. I'm feeling a lot better about Boston going forward than I was this time last year, but there are still a lot of glaring holes. I think Krejci would be my main worry. Such an ugly season for him last year, and I don't see it getting better with his injury history. Long-term and a NMC... Oh well. Still, McAvoy drastically changes my outlook on the blueline, and Carlo is a nice piece of the puzzle as well, although not anything exceptional. |
