This might be the worst thing you have ever said. The city of Buffalo loves their hockey and football...Especially hockey (thats the one we can actually win a championship at). Maybe I misunderstood, but everyone in Buffalo LOVES the Sabres, might not be as many fans stateside as opposed to the northlands? Please explain Jib. |

Still can't hate 'em as much as Philly fans though. But back to what I was saying, wouldn't that make rivalries that much better within Canada? You could foster new hatred for Ottawa fans.

Having cleared that up I hope, another reason I think cutting out that many teams would be an awful idea is that the divisions now make a whole lot more sense than simply Canada and American divisions. The two conferences and six divisions that exist now group teams by geographic location, which makes a lot more sense than grouping them by country. Finally, if it was canadian and american conferences, it would again focus more on canada vs. the states, which is not what NHL hockey is about.

This thread makes me sad because Houston doesn't have an NHL team.
Even though we'd probably suck anyway, it would still be good times going to see the games. Guess I'll stick with my IHL Houston Aeros for now...

I've come to the conclusion than the flames need a new defense. our offense kills, good, cohesive side that gets things done. our defense so far has been crap. kipper needs to lay off the coke and the rest of the boys just need to stop sucking.
how the hell we started with a 2-0 lead in the first 10 minutes of the first to tied up in the end of the second is beyond me. bloody hell.
