I'm following all of them. And you gotta admit, the 8 seed Wings over the President's Trophy Bruins is the NHL story of the night
The other story is those pesky Dallas Stars, the other 8 seed. I thought the game was, if not *over* certainly in hand for Anaheim after Cogliano netted the shorty, but Dallas scored soon thereafter to cut the lead to 3-2, then Dallas pressured the hell outta Anaheim but the 1 seed Ducks hung on by the skin of their teeth. As for the Canadiens, they are absolutely in the drivers seat as long as they don't get complacent heading back to the Bell Centre Last edited by Paul Smeenus; 04-19-2014 at 01:39 AM. |

Well he did get one, but how about Getzlaf with a goal and the assist on Cogliano's shorty? Sweet, man |

Tomorrow we have a trifecta of game twos that follow crazy game ones. Pittsburgh juuust barely held off a very physical Blue Jackets team that outhit the Pens 47-28, I think the Jackets have a good shot at tying the series tomorrow. There's also the Avs/Wild game, game one went to the final 15 seconds before Stasny tied the game, plus Erik Johnson saved an empty netter inches from the goalline, or the Wild would be up 1-0 right now. I also think this series will go 1-1. Then there's the best round one game one I can remember, the Blues/Blackhawks epic triple-OT game last night. I think the Blues snapped out of their end-of-season funk and will go up 2-0 tomorrow, sending the series back to Chicago.

^ Two out of three ain't bad.
Of all the first round game 1's, there was only one crappy game, the Rangers easily disposed the lackluster Flyers. Well Philly looks MUCH better today and lead 3-2 going into the second intermission. I think this series will be tied when they drop the puck in Philadelphia. As for the rest of today's games, I think Boston will be tied 1-1 with Detroit, Tampa will cut the Habs lead in half, and the Sharks will be 2-0 heading to the Staples Center. *edited to add: the Sharks/Kings game one was the other crappy series opener Last edited by Paul Smeenus; 04-20-2014 at 04:04 PM. |

^ I would not argue against you, Nine. The Torres hit on Hossa was worse but not 18 games worse.
*edit to add: with the understanding that Seabrook does not have the history that Torres has Last edited by Paul Smeenus; 04-20-2014 at 06:15 PM. |

Eleven seconds into the game I am reversing my call on the Habs/'Ning game. The Bell Centre is ROCKING and it's already 1-0

Have you seen the second period? Holy shit, so much went on. Stamkos probably won't come back to the game, and that goal by Tampa that was disallowed right away because of supposed interference on Price, who was way out of the net. 2-1 Montreal after 40 now.
