My Lightning are in 2nd behind Boston. St. Louis is playing strong and Bishop has been lights-out in front of the net.
Crossing my fingers for a playoff run. Been crap for too long. Need some winning spirit. |

Everett Silvertips update. They were in a hellacious slump, plummeting from near the top of the US Division (Western Conference) of the WHL to the very brink of missing the playoffs to gaining sole possession of the 6th seed (over the Vancouver Giants) in the playoff race with a big win last night over Prince Albert. Which is extremely significant. 6th seed would play Victoria in the first round, no easy task as they are a fine team, but 7th seed has to play the Portland Winterhawks, who's currently riding a 20 game winning streak. Even top seeded Kelowna doesn't wanna face those guys.

I love how much you dig Junior hockey, man. I wish my city had a dub team...but Victoria is at least a short drive away. About 130 km. Everett's home Uni is greaaat too.

If they face them in the Playoffs, maybe we can go to a game? |

Buffalo finally sends Ryan Miller and Steve Ott to St. Louis, I think this is a good trade for the Blues, and maybe for Buffalo as well depending on what they get for the draft picks

Do the Oil Kings have big rivalry games? Like The Hitmen and Rebels maybe? Our most bitter rivalry is with Seattle (who actually play in Kent, WA) followed closely by Spokane. I'd include Portland in that list, but tbh those games have been all Winterhawks. That team is scary good. |

Also I just realized that my new tv box has access to ALL ppv nhl games holy hell. I don't know why this is but it's great. Just watched the caps/bruins game and now I'm watching Dallas/tb. I am probably never leaving my house again this is great. And I don't know what to think about the miller trade. I honestly don't think miller is an upgrade on halak. Buffalo could end up getting 2 1sts here plus whatever they get if they deal halak (desperately hoping so for my fantasy pools sake) and Stewart. Crazy stuff. |

I believe RM will play up to his old self once he gets to StL. Not based on anything tangible, just my gut feeling
