Speaking of the Leafs, I'm glad to see Bozak back in the lineup. Hopefully he stays there. |

^ Watching this again, this was an incredible game, best Olympic gold medal game ever maybe, in fact best Olympic game period since the Miracle On Ice in '80 (which I didn't even watch 'cause I didn't think there was ANY way a bunch of scruffy college kids could beat the mighty Soviets, who had the previous year made the NHL All-Stars look pathetic).
Speaking of college hockey, anybody ever go to the Frozen Four? It's one of my bucket list things, although I don't think it'll ever happen. |

Yes I recognize that the US (along with other countries like Sweden, Russia, etc) have closed the gap on Canada when it comes to having elite talent. Our WJ team this year was made by idiots aka we left some great players home for some dumb reason. We're not the powerhouse we once were and Im ok with that. But when Canada beats the US ill always jump on it haha
Also America's Olympic team was just named. Wow no Bobby Ryan, Yandle or Byfuglien. Ok thanks guys for leaving one of your best goal scorers at home. This makes the inevitable dumb Canadian team decisions a little less depressing. |

"We did not pick the 25 best players," general manager David Poile said. "We picked the 25 players we thought gave us a chance to win the gold medal." WTF o_O
Looking forward to Pyeongchang, I remain. .. Last edited by Paul Smeenus; 01-02-2014 at 12:54 AM. |

I'm still waiting on Steve Yzerman to release his damn roster for Team Canada. The roster for the women's team has already been released FFS. |

Leaving jack Johnson off was smart. He's really terrible but people think he's great for some reason. Putting orpik on the team over byfuglien is absolutely ridiculous though.
It's annoying that Kunitz is a lock for Canada and we'll see some actual great players lose a spot for him. And I swear to god if we leave subban home.. This weird "lets leave better players home" is so stupid. Bobby Ryan isn't a "checker" because he's not terrible, which is what that description usually symbolizes. Love how Burke said he doesn't have "intensity". Whatever the hell that means. Amazing how dumb a lot of excecs are in this sport. |
