Washington, IL got it the worst. We were spared, although a weak one was spotted only a few miles away. All clear now though, and the game should be starting back up soon. Gotta put the Beef Stroganoff back on the burner.

The National Hockey League is interrupting an NFL game? Not trying to pick a fight, dude. I guess if I can turn a thread titled "Motorhead" into a discussion about pudding I'm no one to talk tho |

Forwards
Kunitz Crosby Stamkos Staal Toews Nash Tavares M.Richards Bergeron Perry Getzlaf Sharp Extras are Lucic and Giroux. I initially before the season had Giroux on a lock in Bergeron's spot, but he's had an awful start, and think he's gonna be damn hard pressed to make a spot. Defense Weber Keith Doughty Letang Subban Pietrangelo Extras are Hamhuis and Staal. Goalies Luongo Price Crawford And obviously this list is who I want, injuries aside.

I think the US team will have a great chance in Sochi. First of all, if Quick can get hot like he did in '12 he can just about single-handedly take the US to Gold. Ryan Miller could be the second netminder. The forwards on the US team should include Zach Parise, Dustin Brown, Patrick Kane, Ryan Kesler, David Backes, Joe Pavelski, Phil Kessel, Ryan Callahan, Derek Stepan, Bobby Ryan, Paul Stasney, on defense there could be Ryan Suter, Paul Martin, Jack Johnson, Ryan McDonagh, Jimmy Howard, Keith Yandle, Justin Faulk. Maybe a better team than the one that gave Canada all it could handle in Vancouver

STRONGLY disagree with Kunitz though. Crosby is a guy that can develop chemistry with anyone. Kunitz isn't even on my radar because his talent level doesn't come close to the others. |

Defense and goaltending are great though. The thing with USA is that even if their starter (Quick) struggles they have more than a couple of options to go to and wouldn't experience much of a drop-off at all. I think a lot relies on Suter and McDonagh as well. While the US has a lot of good offensive blueliners, it's going to be up to those two to shutdown every other country's elite offensive talent. It'll be interesting to see if they pair them up as they're both lefties. |

It's also gotta be said that Sweden could be amazing, but I think only if Lundqvist plays like he has in previous years.
Sedin-Sedin-Alfredsson Johansson-Backstrom-Landeskog Steen-Zetterberg-Eriksson Hagelin-Berglund-Silfverberg Hornqvist, Franzen OEL-Brodin Hjalmarsson-Karlsson Kronwall-Hedman Lindholm, Enstrom Lundqvist Lehner Fasth |
