Well, they know how the Leafs feel now. They had scored 3 unanswered goals and were 103 seconds from getting the split in LA, then give up 2 power play goals in 22 seconds and lose. (I was listening to the game on the phone, I don't know if there were boneheaded penalties taken by the Sharks or if there were bad calls along the lines of the one the Sharks benefited from against the Canucks) If they Sharks are to move on (extremely unlikely IMO that they'll recover from tonight) they'll have to do it without Torres, who's been suspended for the duration of the series for YET ANOTHER dirty hit. Stoll had to sit this game out because of the Torres hit. I for one have had it up to here (blade of hand to forehead) with RT and his dirty hits. |

Comparing roster to roster, I like the Sharks more than the Kings. They're a really well-rounded team with a lot of depth at all positions. They've got a lot of versatility up front, and their best players are also great defensively, which is tough to match up against. Problem is, Quick is such a huge difference-maker, and I still like the Kings just because of him. I think the Sharks might eek out a win at home again, but the Kings will take it regardless.
Blackhawks situation is a bit different. If they take the game tomorrow, they'll be fine. A loss and it's really up in the air though. I could see them coming back, but 3 straight against anyone is a tall task. Pittsburgh will advance either way. I thought the Senators might take them to 7 before the series started, and that still may be true, but I think the Pens firepower comes through in the end. Really hoping that isn't the case though. Really hoping the Bruins can close the Rangers out tomorrow. It would be such a huge boost to get some rest after what has been an unbelievably hectic schedule for them to close out the season and they already have one 7 game series under their belt, not to mention they need to get healthy for the Conference Finals. That being said, I'll never forget 2010, so I can never assume they'll win just because they're up 3-0. |

Love Burns. I'm surprised he made the transition back to winger so easily. I'm really hoping both the Sharks and Wings pull it off, but Chicago can flip the switch at any time and Quick can beat teams single-handedly.

The west semis are a lot more interesting than the east, it seems like a forgone conclusion that it'll be Pens vs Bruins in the east, but right now all four teams in the west are just as likely to advance IMO
