if Howard is smart he will go to OKC...

him or Paul choosing the Knicks would be a mistake. who knows how long Amar'e's knees will hold out and Melo has no idea how to be a two way player.

On the Rise
  • Grizzlies - A good solid team that has been built up properly through the draft and good trades
  • Thunder - Same as the Grizzlies but with better draft picks.
  • Bulls - Same as Thunder & Grizzlies along with Thibs just being the right coach for that team.
  • Heat - A team with LeBron James, Dwayne Wade, and Chris Bosh has nowhere else to go but up for the foreseeable future.
  • Pacers - The Chicago Bulls were extremely lucky that their first round series didn't go 6 or 7 games.
  • Mavericks - They just swept the 2 time defending champs. What else can you say?
  • Nuggets - They may not have played as well as I expected but they are a deep team with very good pieces to trade
  • 76ers - I can't really explain it but this team just showed me something that said that Philly could be something in a few years.

To Be Seen
  • Magic - This team lives or dies with Dwight's decision.
  • Hawks - They have some good young players that can developed but that Joe Johnson contract is going to really hurt them.
  • Knicks - I can't really comment until the new CBA comes out.
  • Lakers - I'm waiting to see what the Buss family pulls out of their hat before I say anything.
  • Blazers - Their injury issues make it really hard to judge where this team will be going in the future.

On the Decline
  • Spurs - They are too old.
  • Celtics - Same as the Spurs although their old stars probably have more longevity than San Antonio's old stars. They also have better young talent than the Spurs so they are in better shape.
  • Hornets - I'm 90% sure Chris Paul is going somewhere by the way he is approaching this in the media. I also don't know what is going on with the whole relocation thing.
I don't know how you're going to say the celtics are old with rondo, davis, and robinson. Ray Allen's only 35 and if he can't keep his shooting percentages up, he's good for another 4 years.

davis is a bench player at best.

rondo can't shoot but he can be a solid player with good players around him.

they traded robinson to OKC, though he wasn't much of a contributer.

I can see allen doing that, especially since this year was among his best ever statistically.

still, the celts core is just about done contending for championships. maybe they can this year, but I still think the Heat win this particular series.

I think the Celts could be contenders for the next 2-3 years. If KG was still in Minnesota, he might be closer to retirement, but I think playing on a perennial contender keeps the career of guys alive. They have some nice young pieces, but guys like Davis are never gonna be more than #3 or 4 options. Celtics still have some time left. As for the Spurs, they had a great year and transformed into a 3 point, fast break team. Duncna is done though. Just watching him this year, you can see how slow he is. He can barely even score on 1 on 1 matchups anymore. He's just got nothin left in the tank. Great career Timmy, time to hang em up and wait for the Hall Of Fame call.

For the Heat - Celts series, I can't believe Rondo is playing. That was a nasty dislocated elbow he got last game, and anytime he is in the game the Heat would be stupid not to pressure his right hand super hard. I don't think he'll be able to do much of anything with the left arm. KG is gonna get more touches and he was great last game. Vintage KG, scoring in the post and nailing his jumpers. Chris Bosh has gotta be a man and step up.

Kobe = overrated. Always has been, always will be.
Kobe was playing on a bum ankle since the second game of the very first series. He looked atrocious on his jump shot the entire playoffs. Overrated? Six rings dude six rings. Hes averaged over 25 pts a game on his career. Which is exactly what he averaged this year. I think he'll be back strong next year. The thing being missed in all of this is the Lakers are gonna miss Phil Jackson more then they can imagine. Hoping The Thunder can pull out the west i can't stomach Seeing Mark Cuban celebrate anything. Plenty of people were high on the Bulls starting the playoffs but the Hawks have been playing lights out. Anybody but The Mavs or Heat and i can rest easy.

Agreed.

Also I forgot about that OKC trade when I made my last post. That was an extremely dumb move by Ainge to trade a vital piece like Perkins and not get some decent front court players in return.

Out of towners never give any credit to Boston, and I guess I can understand. But you underestimate us at your own risk. We'll see what happens. Teams like the Heat won't ultimately do ****. They'll fall off quicker than the Lakers. They bought that team. There's no heart.

Also, Doc Rivers is a beast.

The Celts were great in 08, last year, and possibly this year. I think they would've be a lock to win it this year had they not traded Perk. I'm from Ohio.

Underestimate the Heat at your own risk. I've never seen a team so discounted based on public opinion as the MoHeatos.

Doc is an excellent coach, but coaching can only take you so far.

WTF is this "bought this team" garbage? It's not like the Boston Celtics are playing for free or anything. In fact the Celtics are have a higher team payoll than the Heat by far.

Boston Celtics - $83,330,756
Miami Heat - $66,949,192

Yes, Doc Rivers is a great coach but the guy whines like girl. If you don't believe then just look for some of his comments against The Lakers during the pre-season and his little internet feud with Artest.

Doc is indeed a beast, I love the guy. But this is another case of the delusional Celtics/Lakers fan. Celtics bought their team too. There's no less heart on the Heat than the Celtics. It showed tonight when Miami was able to dig deep and win in overtime on Boston's court in a must-win game for the Celts. Now the Celts are gonna be joining the Lakers and watching the finals from home. eric, you're right I have never seen a team so diso****ed for dumber reasons. They have 2 of the top 3 players in the league (IMO). They are going to be contenders every single year much longer than LA or the Celts.

Also been hearing some Dwight Howard to Lakers rumors. Sounds like a package of Odom, Bynum, and maybe something else could get him
