Not looking to good for the Lakers...unless they make history id say its all over but the crying for them. Everyone around here is a Mavericks fan so its getting rubbed in that their finally winning playoff games. Usually Dirk chokes when its time for him to shine under pressure but maybe this this is the year for him and the Mavs. If the Lakers get knocked out I dont really have anyone else to cheer on to win..ill probally just hope the Heat get knocked out as well.

goodbye lakers!!!

I thought the lakers would come out today and try to show some pride and at least win a game of the series. Not the case, they got BLWON OUT today, it was a total dismantling and the game was over so fast. Lakers proved to be sore losers. The Odom ejection was out of frustration but not over the top in my opinion. Bynum's foul and ejection was totally out of line and ridiculous. I love Bynum's game, but what an immature punk. If any of you see the play, you'd probably agree. Just no respect whatsoever and embarassment to one of the all-time great franchises. Sad way for Phil to go out and Kobe was non-existant these last two games. I think he knew it was coming to an end and really didn't play how I thought he would. Much credit to the Mavs, they built a great, deep team and had a great gameplan. Threes all day long. Good riddance LA, time for a new champion.

I don't feel bad in the slightest about the ejections. the NBA is too soft nowadays. you are supposed to care about being down 30 in an elimination game. three players for the lakers cared today: Kobe, Bynum and Odom. they were the only consistent players throughout the playoffs too.

I can't heap a great amount of responsibility on Kobe. In the first half, he was the only one who could score(started 6-8). this led to him taking a whole lot of bad shots and trusting his teammates less, but can you blame him for that? they gave him nothing.

:clap:congrats Mavs...Maybe they will go on to win their first title ever.

I didnt even watch the game I already knew what the outcome was going to be. Yes Kobe has the same problem Derrick Rose has in Chicago. However you cant win them all and give the Mavs their credit they swept the defending champs. Im just lost as to who I want to root for to win it all now...I like Rose ok I guess but I really dont care other than the Heat losing. I dont get into basketball as much as football so whoever does win congrats to ya. Unless its the Heat and if it does happen to be them....well maybe next year Kobe will call up Rose and Dwight Howard and come looking for revenge and another ring.

I'm rooting for the Thunder now, but I think they are a bit too young still.

My guess is that the Heat or Mavs take it.

Really want to see a Heat/Thunder Finals. Talk about star power... The Heat's chances of winning just went up to about 99.99999% with the Lakers out. Can't see any other team taking them.

Kobe = overrated. Always has been, always will be.

These 2011 Playoffs are going to be remembered as a turning point in the NBA. I can easily place almost every single team into three lists.

On the Rise
  • Grizzlies - A good solid team that has been built up properly through the draft and good trades
  • Thunder - Same as the Grizzlies but with better draft picks.
  • Bulls - Same as Thunder & Grizzlies along with Thibs just being the right coach for that team.
  • Heat - A team with LeBron James, Dwayne Wade, and Chris Bosh has nowhere else to go but up for the foreseeable future.
  • Pacers - The Chicago Bulls were extremely lucky that their first round series didn't go 6 or 7 games.
  • Mavericks - They just swept the 2 time defending champs. What else can you say?
  • Nuggets - They may not have played as well as I expected but they are a deep team with very good pieces to trade
  • 76ers - I can't really explain it but this team just showed me something that said that Philly could be something in a few years.

To Be Seen
  • Magic - This team lives or dies with Dwight's decision.
  • Hawks - They have some good young players that can developed but that Joe Johnson contract is going to really hurt them.
  • Knicks - I can't really comment until the new CBA comes out.
  • Lakers - I'm waiting to see what the Buss family pulls out of their hat before I say anything.
  • Blazers - Their injury issues make it really hard to judge where this team will be going in the future.

On the Decline
  • Spurs - They are too old.
  • Celtics - Same as the Spurs although their old stars probably have more longevity than San Antonio's old stars. They also have better young talent than the Spurs so they are in better shape.
  • Hornets - I'm 90% sure Chris Paul is going somewhere by the way he is approaching this in the media. I also don't know what is going on with the whole relocation thing.

Handing out cheapshots doesn't equal caring. I loved seeing the Lakers towards the end, it was like seeing the rich spoiled kid being told he couldn't have his way. You could just see the frustration mounting as they couldn't guard anyone. After the Odom ejection, I figured Artest would do something stupid (again), but instead it was Bynum. Biggest guy on the court cheap shotting the smallest guy on the floor. He coulda just fouled him hard but he went to hurt him. What a punk move, I see Bynum still hasn't matured at all.

What problem would that be???

Agreed Thom. Kobe is one of the all-time greats but the media just absolutely adores him. Game 3 Kobe didn't even look for his shot down the stretch and game 4 was just a pure blowout from the beginning and Kobe made no attempt at a run in the 2nd half. I can't believe how bad the Lakers played this series and how amazing Dallas played. It looked like the Mavs were the defending champs out there. Heat are definite favorites in my opinion, I don't see Boston beating them now with Rondo's injury. I'd love to see Thunder VS Heat.

Hardly any help from anyone else..making it look as though they are incapable of creating their own shots out there. Im not getting baited back into this whole Kobe debate cause it just turns into a strength in numbers game against me anyway. Im a kobe fan and will always be one and nobody else will convince me other wise. I send out congrats to the Mavs for their accompishments because its well desereved.
As far as the Thunder... Durant and the Thunder would be a deserving squad definatley. Like I said I dont care much other than the cheats..I mean Heat not winning. Again if they do though I will give them credit for it and hope other super stars follow in the new trend as well. In relation to calling each other up and joining forces.

You're right, no sense in the Kobe debate since we all know where we stand on it. Kobe has the best group of players around him than anyone else in the league though. I'm not saying the series loss was all Kobe's fault because I thought the coaching was bad and Gasol didn't do much of anything, but I deifnitely wasn't impressed by Kobe at all. Lol I see you still hate the Heat for going out and assembling a good team, i guess every good team could be considered cheaters then. Guys want championships, why do you think Artest and Barnes signed in LA. I really wanna see what happens with Chris Paul and Howard, I hope they do start anther powerhouse somewhere. Knicks are already trying to with Melo and Amare. The CBA is up after this year so it's gonna be a lockout just like football, only the NBA's situation is a lot worse and will be messier. And I think the owners will try to stop these superteams from forming somehow with the new CBA
