Howard doesn't scare me in the post as much as he does on the boards. |
I realize that and I agree about Howards limited offensive game. If the Lakers can hold him to 12-13 boards a game and make sure those are mostly defensive they'll be fine.

The question for me is can LA play Bynum, Gasol, Odom together. Who guards Turkaglu and Lewis if they do that? Any thoughts? |
I say put Gasol at center and Odom at the 4. Double off Alston when Howard gets it in the post. Odom can guard Lewis, Ariza can at least slow down Turk and the Magic backcourt shouldn't be a problem. On offense Gasol will eat up Howard and Odom should have his way with Lewis. But that's the backup plan. If Bynum plays at least decently then you match his minutes with Howards as much as possible, and put Gasol at the 4 and Odom at the 3. Yes, I know what you're thinking, the THE MATCHUPS!!! But that works both ways. Lewis on Gasol (Or Bynum)? Turk on Odom? But I'd actually prefer to put Odom on the second unit. Start Bynum/Gasol/Ariza/Bryant/Farmar.

Lakers in 7 I also think the Cavs losing the Eastern Conference Finals puts to rest any rumors that the NBA is corrupt (no doubt a Cavs-Lakers Finals would bring the ka-ching far more than Magic-Lakers Finals) |
I dont want Bynum to start. LO should start the game on Hedo and Ariza should be the one chasing Rashard off all those screens.
In all honesty I think Lee Evans is going to have to be the Pietrus of this series. He has to keep Kobe honest and matter of fact I think Pietrus should be the starter for this series. If Pau outscores Dwight, which is very possibe, then I think the Magic will struggle. |

Magic vs. Lakers
game 1 tonight... Predictions? I think Magic surprise the Lakers in game 1 by a narrow margain, maybe 3 points. |
Kobe dominates game 1. Dwight is a no show.
