Wow, great season so far. I have to say D-Wade's been the best player so far. 2.3 steals and 1.7 blocks? He's also a good rebounder and an absolute lockdown defender, unlike a certain someone from the same draft class who manages to garner a reputation as one of the best all around players in the league despite his mediocre defense. Not that James isn't a great player, consistently one of the top 3 in the league. The Lakers will only get better as teams with less depth tire and Bynum continues to adjust. Derrick Rose looks like the number 1 overall pick, in fact this entire draft class looks great. One final though, Spencer Hawes looks just as good as Greg Oden, sure he's not the rebounder, post defender or shot blocker and intimidator Oden is, but he's a much better passer and shows a nice touch from outside.

I agree with you that Wade is coming out as one of the best players so far this season but we all knew he could be that as long as he stayed healthy. But LeBron is averaging 2 steals and a block a game, to tag on 27.8 ppg. And lets be honest we both know LeBron is the far superior shot blocker of the two. I say he deserves every last ounce of praise he gets. I, Also agree with you about Derrick Rose, has this kid come out clutch so far or what.

Lebron's a better shot blocker but very few play the passing lanes better than Wade and when it comes to on-ball defense James is a joke. Wade is a better passer too, he would dish 10 assists a game if he had to play point(Like Lebron, Williams is a joke) (Miami's gotten solid play from Chalmers and a several unknown bench players), but mainly because of the complete lack of reliable outside shooters (The only pure shooter he's every played with is Kapono). Hopefully the Heat go for a defensively solid sharp shooter in the draft or try to pick up someone like James Posey.

Im gonna have to strongly disagree with you in regards to Lebron being a garbage on-ball defender, he is faster, stronger, and wants the ball more than about 90% of the people he checks, He can guard a from the 2spot t the 4spot. But I dont wanna argue, I know Wade is amazing player and has one of my favourite agressive styles of play in all of basketball. Young athletic players should strive to be like him. The do whatever it takes effort to get to that rim. How many times do you see him getting blocked, very rarely. He goes right into the big men and takes that length away from them.

You really think Wade is a Better passer than LeBron? You need to sit down and watch a Cavs game son.

Yeh, watch a Heat game. Wade dishes more assists despite having no outside shooters and playing point less.

Good point, he's more versatile defensively than Wade because of his size, but I don't mean that he's complete garbage (Plays his heart out, incredibly athletic, how could he be), he just lacks the killer instinct Wade and the likes of Bowen have defensively. James is just average, Wade is phenomenal.

Wade may be a better on ball defender, though not by much, but he doesn't play on a defensively good team. Mike Brown coaches an EXCELLENT defense that allows LeBron to take the risks for steals that he does. Also keep in mind that LeBrons minutes this year are WAY down due to the Cavs blowing everybody out... I believe it's 7 games in a row of 10+ point victories at the moment.

Seriously, look at the game tape, Wade is one of the top defensive players in the league, Lebron is just alright. The Heat are very good defensively I might add, it's their offense that makes them mediocre.

If I had to pick one of them to be on my team I'd take LeBron without hesitation.
