What has D'Antoni done for the Lakers exactly?

I wonder how things would've played out if Phil had gotten the job (if Jim Buss wasn't such a prick).
I somehow feel that Phil would have made things work with Howard and Kobe. The beauty of the triangle is it makes Kobes job less stressful. He doesn't have to carry so much load because the triangle stresses so much teamwork. D'antoni is an awful coach. He had a couple decent runs with Phoenix but he can't teach defense to save his life. Hopefully the Lakers tank and get a chance at Parker.

The Celtics make me sad watching them. I just can't believe that they are really 20-40 or whatever at this point.

Also makes me REALLY sad that Garnet's and Pierce's career may come to an abysmal end in Brooklyn.

Ray Allen is the only one who is doing VERY well where he is, and will retire FAR better off than where he would be if he stayed (obviously, with another and possibly ANOTHER ring this year) and would probably have been traded.

Still got my Paul Piece celtics jersey (and it still fits!).

On a lighter note, WTF happened with the Nets this season??

As soon as they started doing bad I lost interest in watching their games. Was it Jason Kidd being the coach that did it? When you look at their roster, it makes no fing sense how they are this low in the standings, but they are nonetheless a bottom team. (though they've beaten Miami 3-0!)

Losing brooke lopez was a huge blow to brooklyn and the fact is that they have an old team in a young man's league. Still tho they will be fine as long aa they stay out of the bottom 2 playoff seeds. They could totally give indy a run for their money imo. Nets are built for thr playoffs cause its more half court offenses in the post season. If lopez was healthy I think they could even challenge miami in a 7 game series

Kobe is vein his bitch self. Ppl forget he tried to pressure for a trade yrs ago. But I don't blame him cause he wants that ring and dantoni wont deliver that. Kobe wont see another ring but it wont be lack of effort from kobe. I've always thought kobe totally gets a free pass from the media and his douchiness always gets spun as determination or whatever but I still respect the hell out of his drive and work ethic

Dantoni will finish out his contract which runs through the end of next season. Lakers won't do a buyout since that is even more money out of their pockets. I believe they're still paying for Brown.

Very well put. The guys works harder than others and that's why he is so good. If he had better teamwork/people skills his teams would have been so much better.

Kobe n shaq coulda had another few rings but kobe has wanted to be jordan sooo bad for so long and its always been obvious to me. Ppl forget the games he went 6/22 in the finals cause hes always had elite big men to help him out

Mighta been I was recallin from memory. Ppl also forget jordan had bad games too. The past tends to get romanticized which is why I can't take most nba analysts, which are 90 precent former players, all that seriously

LeBron.

He's clearly gotten better again this year, which is just unreal...

Scored 25 points in a single quarter today, a career high, and against his old team nonetheless.
