You can't do the same thing all night, the defense will start stopping you.
He's old as ****, he doesn't have the legs to do it all night. Try not to forget how effective of a passer and shooter he is.

That was partly my point albeit I didn't say it. When hes driving the hoop he creates alot of good looks for his teammates. Granted its been a small stretch and he has been on a streak of driving the hoop more recently. I will never defend a guy with hes old, hes out on the floor because hes a leader and all star. I just want the old look Lakers back, but I understand they're hindered by a somewhat lackluster roster. If they make the playoffs i'd be happy but its still not a guarantee. I'm not knocking Kobe in anyway hes still the best option on the roster by a longshot and the only guy capable of carrying the team for stretches. |

Kobe like all great players when they start to age start takin more jumpers. He still has the ability to go to the rim but most times quickly draws double teams. Only this year he's actually being less selfish with the rock and dishing it off to the open guy more often. As opposed to trying to do it by hisself the whole game like in the past. I dont think you can expect him to the run the floor like Lebron or KD, his prime has passed. But in the 4rth when it has really counted he usually finds that burst of energy and takes control of the game single handedly. His numbers as of late havent been really high points but more evenly distributed all around. His assists, rebounds, and points. I mean lets face it, when the rest of the team is struggling and Kobe ends up with 40+ points, we usually lose. I think the formula they have been using as of late is simple and working for them. Be patient, spread the floor, look for the mismatch and work the ball from the inside out.

Actually he was averaging more a game last year. And the subsequent years previous to that he was very close to the same averages. Regardless dude is having a great year. My point was him being aggressive and going to the hoop and not settling for jumpers is a huge boost to the offense when hes up to it.

Like I said earlier, I think he's been drivin the lane to the basket plenty. What they have been doin has been workin so I would'nt tamper with it to much. The only thing I think they could use more of is Howards offense when he's in the paint. Of course though, he's going to draw an immediate foul most times, and then miss both free throws.
