What is the best point and shoot right now? Should people wait for the Canon S100 or just get the Canon S95? Thanks.

In Flickr they use to organize that kind of "photo gatherings". Sounds fun.

At this moment, urban landscape has attracted my attention. I don't know if I live in a new "freak-architecture" capital, but that's what it seems to me lately. Sometimes I'm like a "chronicler", taking a lot of pictures of recent buildings:

Usually the differences between older and newer canons aren't very big. It's more a question of 'look and feel'. I'd say take the Powershot SX210IS, but that's a bit more expensive

Getting a camera for my xmas, hopefully I'll be able to use it to the things potential and take great photographs. I'd hate to only be able to take pathetic photos with it.

Kayleigh, please get a camera from a brand that actually makes camera's.
So no Sony, no Samsung, no HP etc. Panasonic is the only exception to that.
Get yourself a Canon or a Pentax or a Nikon, Fuji... Anything really.
I'm a Canon man myself, but Fuji has some nice compacts too
