These are some pictures I've taken over the years at Don Valley Brick Works, an old brick quarry in Toronto and now a park. The Brick Works was in operation for over 100 years, and is responsible for supplying the bricks for several important landmarks in the city. This park holds so many memories for me as a kid as it is not far from where I grew up. Please excuse my lack of photography skills.
The main building and smokestack: A quarry pit converted into a marshy area: I have no idea what this is but it's between the two main buildings: I can't remember where this is exactly, I think it's the entrance to the park: Boardwalk paths over a swamp pit, looking towards the buildings: Just a slice of Toronto that a lot of tourists don't get to see, unfortunately. |
