I've started to get into instant film now that I found out about The Impossible Project. :P
Picked up an old but nice Polaroid 600 and ordered some film. It'll take me a bit to get the light exposure right, but it's really fun. Might try a SX-70 next. |
I want a decent camera so I can take amazing photos of the castle. Theres also an abandoned one I'd like to take photos of but thats a tiny bit further away.

During the 2009 snowfall I took this photo: http://img810.imageshack.us/img810/9...limwall001.jpg You may say: "bah, just a few f***ing rocks...". Nope. That's Madrid's Muslim wall, built in the 9th century. Those bloody stones have been there since more than 1,100 years ago!!! |

I have my little canon with 12x optical though :). But hey, the sony was 3 bucks :D. |
^ Well, if it's only $3... :thumb:
BTW, for the past days I've been trying a compact Lumix (Panasonic). I don't know if it is due to its X8 zoom or its 14 megapixels (I have no idea of how these two features are interrelated), but the results seem to be excellent to me: http://img593.imageshack.us/img593/7563/uninfnix001.jpg http://img33.imageshack.us/img33/8867/topbaroque001.jpg I'm developing a strong "Japanese-tourist syndrome". When I walk the streets, I feel a need to photograph almost everything I see. So I always carry my pocket camera. And I never know what I might find. For instance, yesterday, while walking beside a train station, I saw two giant baby-heads. Really. No joking: http://img52.imageshack.us/img52/160...tmadrid001.jpg WTF??? I thought: "well, it's over. Finally I've lost my mind. After all, it was foreseeable...". Then I saw a small plaque. It read: "Sculptor: Antonio López. Title: 'Day and Night'". Day and Night??? C'mon, don't f**k around! What a practical joke!. However, when I looked carefully at the "mega-babies", I found out that it made sense. Day and night: Day: http://img28.imageshack.us/img28/951...madrid004b.jpg http://img20.imageshack.us/img20/305...madrid005b.jpg Night: http://img718.imageshack.us/img718/7...madrid003b.jpg http://img265.imageshack.us/img265/1...madrid002b.jpg You see? Day and Night. Apparently it's surrealistic, but it makes sense, doesn't it? Well, next time I'll tell you something about angels, demons, and some photos I took here. |

Where is that? I love it! |
Just 30 or so minutes ago I spotted a possum in the backyard from my bedroom. So I took some pictures, and a video. It's only the second time I've seen a possum in this area (well the third if you count the dead one I found under my car last year), and the first I've seen in the winter. Apparently they don't hibernate! Here's the pics, sorry for the quality. I took them and uploaded them rather quickly.
http://i911.photobucket.com/albums/a...own/photo5.jpg Okay, I do have some close up photos but they're huge and just not resizing the way I want them to. So I'll post them later. Ugh... Here's the video though: And if you're wondering why there's a kids playhouse thing in the yard, it's because my mom runs a home daycare :) |
Oh, bought another camera today!
http://www.itreviews.co.uk/graphics/...ware/h616c.jpg HP Photosmart 945. Still charging the batteries but it turned on and the screen looked pretty nice. It was only 10 euro's at a bootsale so I couldn't resist :D. Looked at some sample pics and it seems like it's a pretty decent thing. Pics tomorrow! |
