I'd love to see your signature/links too, but the huge and obnoxious ones have caused me to block all signatures.

Paris trip 2004:

That's my aunt in the white pants, and my cousin's wife to the right holding a jacket. I think I just noticed a boob in the lower right, hmm. Hope that's not my mom's.

Good 'ol Sunset beach. I'm assuming you were walking across the Burrard street bridge when you took that photo? I use to live about three blocks away uphill from there a decade ago (****... it's hard to believe it was already a decade ago). I also use to play hockey where that parking lot now sits

Yeah I guess it must have been the Burrard bridge. I saw people playing hockey over there my last visit about a year ago. Damn it's been that long? Damn...need to go again soon! I'd love to go during the Olympics, but I don't think that's gonna happen. Gorgeous city.

edit: Actually I was somewhere under the Burrard bridge, I just looked at my series of photos to confirm. We had gone around Stanley Park on bikes starting at the North end, and followed the trail around False Creek and eventually rode back into downtown over the Burrard Bridge.

Yeah the picture is far too close to the water to be on the bridge, plus you've got that one of the apartment buildings in Yaletown which are along that road which I use to walk along on Sundays back in 2007-2008 when I was living back in the West End.

Thanks!

While talking of snow in another thread, I dug up these pics from last winter here in Seattle, taken on my way to work. I love sunny snow days.

Nice pics Sidewinder. Paris is definitely on my list of places to visit. Here's some from my trip at the weekend. Good old English weather and dull buildings = no colour!

A view from London Eye:

Outside the British Museum (fantastic place):

Amenophis III. Around 3m high. c.1390 B.C

Chinatown. New Year celebrations:

All very nice photos.

Can anybody tell me how come everytime I take a photo of something, it just looks like a standard photo. But when other people who are interested in photography take a photo of say, I dont know... a bra on a chair.. it looks like a piece of art?

Is it the camera or just the idiot (i.e. me!) with the camera?
