Here's my 2 cents! I've been doing some random photography for around 2 years. I took a class on it.. but didn't learn much of anything aside from the "rule of thirds". I more or less just got a digital camera for Christmas and went out and starting taking them!

Those are really amazing. And the "rule of the thirds" is shyte. Centering a subject can cut the dynamism in a picture, but sometimes that's just what you want to do.

Anyway, didn't you take in you classes anything about shutter speed and iris blah blahs?

Yeah I know! That class was pointless.. and yeah I did in my normal Photography class. BUT my camera doesn't even have that **** haha. It's an old coolpix

In New Jersey.. there were these random posts in the middle of nowhere and the whole place had a bizarre oneiric quality:

Pic I took with my Razr. It was too big so I did a panorama and assembled when I got back:

you're really good at this ... it's a real shame you don't have a semi-pro camera. (thou you don't feel like you need one lol)

CanwllCrofe, nice work! The vignettes really draw my eyes deeper into your photos. And I can't believe the clarity on the last sunset photo taken with your Razr.

Thanks! :D

Yeah I was really surprised as well!

If anyone is interested in what's on the horizon it's a long, long walkway to a lighthouse.

Those are seriously awesome, I knew you were good, but I had no idea how good! I wish I could take half as good a photo.. :( haha.

Amazing photographs there Corfe, some great depth and like someone said, can't believe the detail and clarity you got from your phone (assuming that's what a Razr is?). You should definitely invest in a better camera, although what you are taking are stunning as it is! I'm going to dust down my camera this week and start taking picture again. Thanks!

Aww anyone can take good photos! I would give you tips but I don't know what I'm doing right. I just take photos and when I like the look of it, it just clicks.

Yeah me too! Although the resolution is very small. The other ones are resized MUCH smaller then the original picture, but that one is pretty close in size to the original. Thanks! :D I would like to have a better one. Good luck with getting your old camera out! Post the results when you've started to get back into it!
