I'm using a DX Nikkor 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6G VR, and no, it's not a macro, to my knowledge.

feels like the one that comes with the camera, as a package. Noticing from your style [you seem to like macro photography], I suggest you get a macro lens. You'll be able to get near your subject more, and still getting a net picture.

It is indeed the one that came with it, but the whole set was basically 20 bucks, so I won't complain. I got a Nikon 80-200 mm f/2.8 AF-S with the deal for an extra bit of tokens (We do a token system at work, hence how I got the camera for twenty bucks.) and I guess once I get settled financially again, I'll start looking into Macros. Any recommendations?

^You got a really good deal on that one. I got a Canon EFS 17-85mm Macro with a Stabilizer. A stabilizer is very important if you don't want to carry a tripod wherever you go, crucial with a telephoto lens.

didn't notice the London pix, my favorite is that one:

But I got a bit of a critique, if you don't mind: It would've helped if the Big Ben was taken in a vertical way. The horizontal/vertical choice is very critical. By taking a Horizontal pic of the Big Ben, you totally destroyed the dynamic. It's good to exaggerate the height of monuments, and just follow the movement.

a horizontal Big Ben just seem static. dynamic is crucial.
