I fixed your image tags s_k. I'm guessing that chocolate is similar or the same as Aero Bar? Seeing as it's made by Nestle and all.
http://www.nestle.ca/NR/rdonlyres/88...Milk_Mar09.jpg And Pedestrian is right about the chocolate. |
Haha, sorry. What did I do? [url or something? :).
And I think that's pretty much the same, yeah :) |

Wops. Keeps you occupied :)

Churros are amazing.

I'm actually not a fan of chocolate. Except the occasional galaxy. Crisps > chocolate.

scorpion vodka

You, again, can move in with me. We won't steal eachothers food :D |

Explain please? :D.

As you can see, Scorpion Vodka contains a walloping great scorpion. And it's not just any old scorpion. This particular pickled arachnid has been specially bred in southern China and is totally safe to eat. So they tell us. The word is that each pincer-wielding beastie (infused in the vodka for three months before hitting the shelves) has undergone a special detoxifying process. This neutralises the scorpion's venom, making it 100% edible, tail 'n' all! You're shitting me?! |
Quote:
|
I know that, but how... ah wait, Crips. I meant crisps, obviously :D
|
I sure am not ****ting you!
|
Hmm, about the pics; Watch your backgrounds dear :D.
You got a nice feel for 'the kodak moment', you do. But I see a lot of chopped off stuff on your pics. If it isn't snapshots you're looking for, the subject often isn't the most important thing on the pic. So far for my criticism. Apart from that, I like the subjects and... http://a2.sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphot..._7121259_n.jpg Want to live there! |
What do you mean by chopped off stuff? The tree was unavoidable. As for the chopped castle I just loved the sky that's why I took two.
|
Ps. You really don't want to live here. If I could move the castle to NZ....
|
Allright, here goes
http://a4.sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphot..._6121337_n.jpg There's a man on the left with half a bottle of vodka in front of his face :D The other one has got a bottle on his nose http://a2.sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphot..._4066962_n.jpg Not much chopping here, just that strange black spot on the edge of the pic. But this one is just moved. Pity. Nice goose :) http://a2.sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphot..._7121259_n.jpg There's a bit of a tree on the left of the picture that's still on, accidentally. In a case like this you're better off putting a bit more of the tree on it. Now it's a bit like 'oh yeah, there's a tree there, but that doesn't matter, it didn't belong on the picture anyway'. http://a8.sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphot...7_782765_n.jpg Same sorta goes for this one. There's a chimney on the right that's juuuust on the picture. But not really. And the tree on the left almost made it, but a bit of the top and the left is chopped off. This is often considered 'bad' in photography. Because I don't want you to think I don't like your pictures I'd like to add that I only comment here because this is the photography thread :). I have to approach stuff technical here. At least I think this is about photography, right? Not just about the picture? I could be wrong, you never know with me :D. |
And after a castle.........a palace. A Royal Palace. Last Friday night:
http://img90.imageshack.us/img90/810...eal28madri.jpg I tried to apply the so-called rule of thirds. That is, the building at the upper third (more or less). I don't know what "role" the puddle plays here (if it plays any "role"), but the thing is that there was a puddle at that moment, and it's at the lower third. Actually, that wasn't intentional. I was going to take the photo anyway. I also like the colors. It's like "silver and gold" or something like that. |
Haha, the rule of thirds doesn't really work for this picture.
I'd go 1/3rd: Sky 1/3rd: castle 1/3rd: Ground Now there's an awful lot of ground if you ask me. Nice lighting, very nice. Pity about the little spot of light on the left, coming from a streetlight. All in all a very nice picture to look at :) |

so if anybody wants you to do that they post in that one, if they don't they post in this one. Problem solved. |

Calm down with the critiques. You assume all your comments are welcome. I for one don't want to read a "pro tip" every time I come in here to have a gander at what some of the members have posted. It's irritating! |
Ooops, nearly forgot;
:) |
That helps.
I'll stop commenting then :). If anyone wants a comment on the technical bit of the photo, just ask. |

So we could say: 1/3rd: Palace 1/3rd: Smooth pavement 1/3rd: Cobbled pavement + puddle Quote:
http://img864.imageshack.us/img864/6708/bollard01.jpg So perspective was determined by a bollard's location. :( |
Hahaha, allright. Diggin' your excuses :D.
|
But, hey, when circumstances are on my side, I try to seize the occasion. Especially considering that Matrix's skies use to be gorgeous. This sunrise is from February:
http://img684.imageshack.us/img684/5...alcielo103.jpg I think there are several favorable converging factors here: the blood-red sky, those plane contrails, sun's position and the central building. The "shy" Sun seems to be hiding itself. And to me, it looks as if it were about to move left, instead of rising up. A curious effect. |
You know, it's easy making a picture like that when you have that view in front of you anyways.
But damn, I still just LOVE it :D I can has big one for desktop background? :D. |
My dad bought a Sigma DP2.
I've been using it all time since yesterday as it's absolutely brilliant. It's an awful device to live and work with, but the pictures are... Anyone here fans of lomography?
http://fc08.deviantart.net/fs71/i/20...floor_pies.jpg This is my state of the art plastic lens camera. |
I wouldn't call myself a fan, but a good lo-fi photograph can be very interesting to look at.
I just don't see the point of those expensive low-budget (?!) camera's. I'd just buy a 35 year old budget cam on a yardsale or summin'. |

Obviously, building is "the star" here, but pavement plays its role too (note, for instance, how colours are the same). There is an interesting composition of lines, I think: And I love how the clouds collaborated with me too:  Quote:
