Is it the camera or just the idiot (i.e. me!) with the camera?

It's all in the lighting.

Here was a photo I took yesterday, it wasn't until I viewed it on my computer that I noticed I caught a bird in mid flap.

^ That bird is pretty awesome. And I love the way the trees look... makes me wanna go shake them.

I remembered how much I moaned when the snow was here. But I'm jealous and I want my snow back :(.

It happened the same to me three years ago. I took a photo of a fountain with a bronze Naiad (a nymph of water). Afterwards, I saw the image and...

A dove!!

Wow, those pics with the accidental birds in them are actually immense. I love the sunset photo, sooo pretty. Plus cute little dog, what kind is it? Is it yours :)?

There's a difference between a person with a camera and a photographer, just like there's a difference between someone with a guitar and a musician, or someone with a paintbrush and an artist.

Owning a decent camera doesn't make you a photographer, taking lots of photos and learning about how they work and how to make them look will eventually make you a good photographer.

Thank you, Kayleigh. That dog is not mine, but I did help my ex-boyfriend and his brother raise him. It's actually ElephantSack's pup. His name is Tulkas and he will climb mountains with you while you're on acid.

my old schools common room. I took this photo on the fly, not looking because I wanted a photo to remember my last year of school. However disorganised it is I like it. Especially the "YEARBOOK COMING SOON" that's all messy and fallen down on the right wall. :)

It would be neat if you cut the foreground of the subway picture. It's kind of trippy from the bench up.

FETCHER. 03-29-2010 07:44 PM

like so?
http://i675.photobucket.com/albums/v...32010201-1.jpg

then I noticed it was unevenish so I cropped it again..
http://i675.photobucket.com/albums/v...32010201-2.jpg

I kind of like the original photograph best.. I think.

swim 03-29-2010 08:31 PM

Yea the original one actually is the best. I guess it's the foreground that helps it make look so school. I don't know, I'm as far from aesthetically inclined as it gets.
