I stumbled across this place while exploring an old, abadoned slate quarry up in the hills. I had half a mind to break the lock and force entry, believing that maybe it housed drugs. Or treasure. Even hobbits. And I wanted to see how deep it went too. Cool place.

Might it be a bunker?
There are quite a lot of those all over Europe.
We have two I know of in my medium sized town. One of them could house 5000 people.
