^ Great shot, Aurora! It looks like...... ..... ....an aurora!

Right, more of my boring stills from various parts of the country. This next one particularly appealed to me because the lilies were in just the right place. It's called Moss Eccles Tarn and although not particularly dramatic, I still love the place.

That's an epic compliment coming from you. *chuffed* thank you. :)

Here's a great photo I took this morning. This is a view of the Fairmont Royal York Hotel in downtown Toronto, from the train yard on York St., in -26°C weather (-14°F). Read: ****ING BLOODY FREEZING WINTER WEATHER! The drifting snow makes everything appear really foggy.

I wish I could stay one night in this hotel for just ONE night, but the basic guest room STARTS at $200/night. The luxury suites are about $2000/night.

-26°C!!! :yikes:

Pigeons aren't cold here. I took this pic two weeks ago, during their "shower time":

I've always liked this kind of photos: sunlight, water and frozen movement. Two "requirements": a good position and a short exposure-time.

That's a great photo! Very moody in a weird way.

I recently started taking pictures again. I really want to visit some abandoned parts of my state and take pictures of areas that are being reclaimed by nature. It gives me this really strange feeling when looking at photos of buildings and areas where people once lived. I sent 3 rolls of film to be developed not too long ago, I'll try and post a few pictures if any of them look worth posting.

I agree, I think it might be the great contrast of the shot.

So this is an old picture that I came across from Salzburg. The main reason I'm posting it is because there's a kind of optical illusion at the second arch. It caught me off guard at first but I think its just the light reflecting off the stone. The effect is kind of cool, and I think the picture is kind of "trippy" because of that plus the vertigo effect.

ps... does anyone know how to make it smaller? : /
