The Perks of being a Wallflower soundtrack is amazing. a big part of why i love this movie is because of the soundtrack... easy rider soundtrack is good too, but wallflower beats him in my opinion

I watched Anna Karenina (2012) today, not knowing anything about the plot other than the novel was by Tolstoy and is very famous, and I very much enjoyed not only the movie and Keira Knightley's performance, but also the sadder songs on the soundtrack, which is mostly (modern) classical music by Italian composer Dario Marianelli.

My favorite tracks:

Anna Karenina Soundtrack - 22 - I Understood Something - Dario Marianelli
Contemplative, somber, and simple yet with variety, this is my favorite track of all:

Anna Karenina Soundtrack - 12 - Time For Bed - Dario Marianelli
Very delicate and sad:

Anna Karenina Soundtrack - 23 - Curtain - Dario Marianelli
This richly orchestrated, traditional-sounding waltz has an emotional melody that serves as the main theme for the music in the movie:

I'm not actually that keen on many movie soundtracks, I think danny elfman makes some decent stuff though, but still for me it's hit and miss.
I either love a tune or don't care for it.

The Hannibal TV soundtracks - these may be my pick of the year. Every bit as moody, evocative and downright weird as the show. Can't wait till these come out on vinyl!!!

I actually really love the soundtrack to the Spawn movie. I listened to it constantly in like 2nd grade and found it in a pile of stuff a year or two ago, and I've been jamming it again ever since. If we're talking about the actual musical scores for movies, the music from Pi is definitely my favorite. The DnB theme really stuck with me.
