Gaming Playlist
What's up guys, just curious as to what kind of music you listen to while you play video games. For me, and probably most of you, it also depends on what type of game I'm playing.
I just thought about this and figured it would be interesting, so I'll make a playlist now and post back later. |

Usually something that screams "I am pissed off and want to kill something." Lots of metal, punk, and occasionally some form of rap. Industrial would also work.
Also, for some reason, jazz. No real reason for that one, I just like jazz. |

I just listen to the soundtrack of the game unless I've been playing it too long or the soundtrack sucks. If I'm playing something online though, I like to be able to hear directional sounds because they help me figure out where i'm getting shot at from...

I only listen to music during multiplayer games.
If I actually want to play my hardest and **** things up, I listen to something that pisses me off, Slayer, Testament, Meshuggah, Death, Dimmu Borgir, Brocas Helm, Bloodbath, Gorguts, Helloween, Stratovarius etc. basically any death, thrash or power metal. When I just want to have fun and mess around, The Chemical Brothers, The Misfits, Riot, Suicidal Tendencies, and any prog rock. I usually just end up getting into the music and it affects my gameplay, it's all in good fun though. |

If I'm playing a third person shooter or something along those lines. I need to hear the game sound to hear position of bullets whizzing by but if it's multiplayer online, I guess I should be specific. If I'm playing WoW, I'd love to have some epic classical pieces playing but then I can't hear my raid leader if I have to crowd control or switch targets. If I'm playing GTA online, my go to cd that I play is Cradle 2 the Grave Soundtrack or Training Day Soundtrack.

ii don't listen to other music when i'm playing games, usually it's the game's soundtrack i listen to, otherwise i get distracted as i get realy sucked into the music i put on
it's only one instance when in Narc, they just keep looping Pusherman so i switched the music off and just listen to the ambient sounds |

I listen to basically whatever music I've most recently acquired, there's no particular style I like to listen to while I play a game. I do almost always play with the game's volume off though. I started doing that because video game music when I was a kid was so awful. Now I think it's cool how much video game music has improved but I still prefer to choose my own tunes.
