Highly Overused Songs in Movies
Moviefone Mash: Is This The Most Overused Classical Song in Movies? (VIDEO) - The Moviefone Blog
After reading that article I got to thinking about some other overused songs but the main one to hit me and jump into my head was this one. Can you guys think of any other overused classical songs or just songs in general that used frequently?

"O Fortuna" from "Carmina Burana" by Carl Orff . Heard in dozens of film clips but the one I remember it most from is "Excalibur"
"Adagio for Strings" is usually up there as an overused song for those scenes where you know there is no hope left for a character or who just want to do a parody of an "over the top" scene. |

This one is used a lot but it's a good song
Colours by Amos Lee. It's used on TV shows and movies. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dv7Q8UWGO5g

"Hallelujah" is used an awful lot in television and film, particularly the Jeff Buckley version. I mean, it's a really great song, but it's way overused.

Tchaikovsky's 1812 Overture has a bunch of themes used in popular films
Too lazy to post links but How to Save a Life and Hallelujah (Leonard Cohen) are used by many films/shows EDIT: damn, ninja'd

"Iron Man" Black Sabbath is overexposed in all media. It got to the point where I was watching the Iron man preview and pretty much said "They're going to play Iron Man"...
then they did. What a shocker.
