For the Avant-Garde Drone I suggest
La Monte Young (The Theatre Of Eternal Music) - Pre-Tortoise Dream Music
I put The Theatre Of Eternal Music along with La Monte Young because it was a group that consisted of La Monte Young, John Cale, Tony Conrad and others, but those compositions were later largely attributed to La Monte Young. So there's a bit of copyright confusion there.
