Back before it became ubiquitous, I remember hearing Wicked Game in Wild at heart and loving the sound of it.

The entire Lost Boys soundtrack. Love that movie, and I loved the music. I bought the cd haha.

It was a long time ago, but when I watched Closer I discovered Damien Rice and I still think he is one of the best artists I have listened to.

ah , this one was in silence of the lambs.

Got this one from Kill Bill.

Also discovered Dick Dale from another Quentin Tarantino movie, Pulp Fiction.

Through the movie Spun I discovered the band Zwan, by Billie Corgan..
Which is kinda strange... I liked Smashing Pumpkins for a long time,
but didn't here anything of Zwan for ages

I was listening through the soundtrack of Vanilla Sky (2001) recently to find out if its theme song was similar to a piano ditty I made up around ten years ago (afraid I'd plagiarized without knowing it), when I came to and enjoyed the following song sung by actress Cameron Diaz...

"I Fall Apart" -- written by Nancy Wilson and sung by Cameron Diaz as the character "Julie"

It's a nice stalker song: slightly eerie, haunting, and menacing. :) After hearing it, I wished Cameron Diaz would sing more often because I like her voice and the song, which reminds me of my favorite stalker song of all time, "Do You Love Me Now," by the Breeders.

^ Cameron Diaz' comments about Heart made me want to learn more about Nancy Wilson. So due to the movie Vanilla Sky, I discovered how good a guitar player Nancy Wilson is by listening to this old video of "Crazy on You":

Now that I think about it...I think the first time I heard Kiss From A Rose was in Batman Forever.

And for the record, that song is creepy.

Oh man, being a soundtrack and score fan there's an awful lot.

But probably one of my favorite finds was discovering Bruce Willis is a great singer.

I remember i was young when i watched Silence of the Lambs and this scene creeped me out but i liked the song for some reason.

i heard recently they are making The Goonies 2 with the original cast and it reminded me of the 1st Goonies theme song.

From the movie Drive. The entire soundtrack is amazing, i am sure that anyone who liked at least a song from the movie, got the entire soundtrack.

Let's just put this simply.

All the songs on the 'Elizabeth Town' CD
Every single one of the songs has a meaning.
The great thing is, you can relax to them.
They are not up beat pop, or even rock in that fact.
More like the blues.
Something you can listen to when all you want to do is relax.

Let's face it, doesn't the music industry play ****ty stuff on the radio???

Thanks to The Graduate I discovered how awesome Simon & Garfunkel are.

Not movie ,but miami vice made me find crocketts theme and thus start me affection with 80s music.

The whole score really. Also, this is an excellent mini-series. Just re-watched it and realized how fantastic everything about it is.

This song really works with the credits intro of the movie for some reason.

The rap parts just sound stupid though.

Finally sat down and watched Head (1968) from start to finish. I've had the soundtrack with the mirrored cover for years but never gave it a spin. I certainly will now that I've seen the crazy film.

I disvovered a lot of songs from watching Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows. This movie introcuded me to hans Zimmer and now I listen to all of his songs.

Weirdly alot of songs from my top fave band long before I even knew of them.

Girl U Want by Devo...the movie....Tank girl.
Through being Cool...the movie... Heavy Metal.

Needless to say I discovered alot of good songs and bands from Heavy Metal.

The movie "Contraband" led me to J Roddy Walston and the Business...

"Cinderella Man" led me to Miff Mole and his Molers...

The show "Vikings" led me to Fever Ray...

Caddyshack II is otherwise a complete dud, but thanks to it found Kenny Loggins' 'Nobody's Fool', one of the best 80s feel good soundtrack songs ever :hphones:

not a movie but I got reminded of Change (In The House of Flies) by Deftones from an episode of The Following.

Voxhaul Broadcast - "Leaving on the 5th"
in the movie The Vow.

"Leaving on the 5th" reminds me slightly of some MGMT songs I love.

I discovered Katey Sagal's and the Forest Ranger's version of 'Son of a Preacher Man' from Sons of Anarchy.

'All I Need' by Within Temptation I got from the Vampire Diaries.

I know these are technically tv shows, not movies, but hey.

I did discover 'Friends' by Band of Skulls due to one of the Twilight movies, embarrassingly, but it's a good song.
