is length / filesize / overall quality any type of issue? most of my tracks tend to be on the long side and lo-fi as hell. i'm not really a fan of chopping either for reasons i'll get into in my write up.

quite like this comp idea though along with both the guessing game and reviews / write ups.

I sent in a long, kind of experimental track by me.

@ Dave:
I wouldn't think so... just as long as everyone's not submitting huge files, it wouldn't be an issue.
I generally don't go below 128kbps for MP3 for quality reasons, but if your song is extremely long... like 15 minutes long... then you might want to dip into the lo-fi territory.

I think it's reasonable to assume that everyone can get their songs to under 10MB each without sacrificing any noticeable quality.

One obvious addition to make to this would be to remind everyone NOT to send .WAV files. Convert them to MP3.

Alright I'll definitely be entering a song in this one. If anyone's interested, you can check out my music at the link in my signature ('thedisintegrationtapes')

The song I submitted was 12 minutes and 23MB. If you and Tore think alike, I'm doomed.

Well if it's just one song and not 3 of the same size, I don't see it being a problem.
12 minute song huh? Prog?

I'm not too worried about songs being long as long as it goes for a few of them. A whole comp of epics gets a bit tiresome, but I'm sure we can cope with a few.
