I like the video for "99 Ways to Die," especially when the images of children killed by guns flash across the screen during the frenzied electric guitar solo! The gun statistics are chilling. I didn't realize how many children die due to using their parents' handguns.

I looked up the video and learned it was directed by Wayne Isham. He did a good job bringing more depth to that song.

Ooo! I had no idea that "Moon River" is from the movie "Breakfast at Tiffany's," which I've never seen, Zaqarbal. Yes, isn't Audrey Hepburn elegantly adorable?

Heh...I never cared for that song and had forgotten it came from "White Nights," but I remember eating up the movie because it had dancing! I've forgotten almost everything about the movie other than the general plot...Soviet dancer defects to the U.S....but I *do* remember Isabella Rossellini.

When I was younger, I loved the Private Parts soundtrack and the Lost Highways soundtrack.

Love Robin Hood. Had this on tape.

I'm pretty sure a soundtrack exists for it, but it was limited to vinyl and they released it in the 70s, so it's out of print now.

I originally posted this in the "What Are You Listening To Right Now II" thread, then decided it would be better placed here:

I "Watership Down," with my favorite track being "Bright Eyes."

I remember when I first watched the movie. I was 18 and visiting frends in Mildenhall for several days. They happened to have the movie, and so one night I watched it. Then I stayed up and watched it two more times!

I especially love the dreaminess and longing in this song, which appears at least twice in the movie:

"Bright Eyes" from the movie "Watership Down"
perfomed by Art Garfunkel and written by Mike Batt.
A good summary of life and death:

(The first video has some hiccups in the music, unfortunately)

Okay, here's track 10, "Bright Eyes," without any hiccups (but no hopping rabbits ):

And to finish off my online homage to "Bright Eyes," here's Art Garfunkel singing it!

P.S. ^ There's some activity for ya.

Alice Cooper recorded this song for some low budget movie in 1984. I don't think it ever got released anywhere until it came out on his Life & Crimes box set a few years ago.
I think he sounds a lot like Iggy Pop on this song.

Another classic: Johnny Guitar (the famous movie directed by Nicholas Ray). By Peggy Lee.

Stevie Wonder - "Feeding Off The Love Of The Land"
Played during the closing credits of Jungle Fever (1991)
I remember staying to the end because I thought the song was so lovely.
