The soundtrack to Factotum, based on the Charles Bukowski novel, includes Slow Day, which is Kristin Asbjørnsen singing an excerpt from Bukowski's poem Wind the Clock...

It's quite possibly one of my favourite things ever.

Pearl Jam - Breath, on the Singles soundtrack.

Very very rarely played live - I managed to half-see them do it one time at a soundcheck - turned up 3 or 4 hours early to the gig, was outside the venue and could just about see half of the stage.

Speaking of "Singles" one of my favorites is Soundgarden's "Birth Ritual."

While watching "Paint Your Wagon" (1969), I was startled to hear what a lovely and melodious singing voice Clint Eastwood has. Here are two songs he croons in the movie:

Clint Eastwood - "I Still See Elisa"
Especially nice in the context of the movie, because he sings it while a river flows behind him in the scenic background.

Clint Eastwood - "I Talk To The Trees"
A sweet, innocent, old-fashioned love song

Megadeth has a couple of really amazing songs that basically were released for only soundtrack that are generally much better than their regular studio output:

Albeit, technically these were re-released on a special edition album, but still.

Someone had to mention Moon River (Mercer & Mancini for Breakfast at Tiffany's). Impossible not to fall in love with Audrey Hepburn.

Other faves:

1. We Don't Need Another Hero, from Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome. 2. Streets of Philadelphia, from Philadelphia.

3. Say You, Say Me, from White Nights. Perhaps because I associate it with Isabella Rossellini, who was amazingly beautiful in that movie.
