February Bi-Monthly Themed Comp - Guilty Pleasures!
tracklist
Here it is, the long-awaited Guilty Pleasures comp! In case you forgot what this month's theme was, it's songs that you hate to love. Tunes you can't help liking even though you find it embarassing. I got a fair share of submissions ranging from the very embarassing to stuff I personally didn't know I should feel guilty about enjoying. Get it! To figure out which song in the compilation is the most embarassing, I've made a poll. You know what to do! As usual, I'll also put up a list of contributors and you can try and guess which track belongs to who. I'll add the tracks under the names in the contributors list below. Contributors

I think someone who may have wanted to change their submission may not have gotten their wish. If so, I'm sorry! My inbox has been stuffed and I may have deleted your message before granting your wish. I'm not sure, but I worry that it might have happened like that.
Working on the poll by the way! And Blondie's Heart of Glass is not embarassing?

great choice of a pic to use with this, too. it fits considering star trek is also a guilty pleasure...
that show is awesome. edit: and yeah, there are actually quite a few songs there that i actually listen to guilt free....i think that will change now

Neither did I.
That Paul McCartney song's alright too, but I probably listen to far more than the medically-recommended dose of his music anyway. Anyway, dee-elling now (despite the fact that I hate that Bryan Adams song more than just about anything else)... |

I'm not trying to offend anyone with these guesses, so apologies in advance...
I'm pretty sure that facepalm picture was taken when Bowling for Soup played, so that got my vote. I don't mind pop-punk, but jeez those lyrics were lame. I wanna say this was Gunnels for some reason... Kamelot - was a close second. I actually laughed out loud listening to the way he sang, "Don't you crryyyyHIIIIIII!" Bulldog perhaps? Justin Timberlake - is pretty much the suavest mother f*cker on the planet. Definitely a guilty pleasure I share. NSW is the only person on the list I sorta could picture submitting this, but who knows. Journey - was Storymilo? Don't Stop Believing is a good song. Lighthouse Family - Stone Birds maybe? I actually liked this well enough. Medieval Steel - ....HAHHAHAHA. Excellent choice. This would have won if it wasn't so dorky as to actually be amazing. This one fits Tore right? My Chemical Romance - ...I honestly couldn't guess this for anyone without them getting mad I imagine. +81 maybe? Sorry... Selena Gomez - Fits NND I think... The Sound of Animals Fighting - This was pretty freakin awesome actually. Alfred? The Pettit Project - Duga? Funny stuff whoever it was. >< Last edited by Dieselboy; 02-17-2010 at 06:04 PM. |

Nope, but it's a band I've been meaning to get an album from for quite some time. No idea why it's anyone's guilty pleasure, unless it's one of those hardcore elitist types who dismisses the band because Anthony Green, Craig Owens, and all their friends are involved.

Oh ye gods .. I'll comment on some of those I find embarassing and leave out the rest.
The most embarassing for me must be Bowling for Soup, the Pettit Project or Vanilla Sky. They were all utterly awful and they almost all sound like they could be made by the same band which shows just how bland they are. Well, I think so. I think Vanilla Sky takes the cake this time. edit : At least you got one right! Storymilo, explain yourself please
